Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for customized programming through “virtual zoning”, not based on network architecture or geographic region, via a modified electronic programming guide (EPG) provided to devices assigned to virtual zones. Broadcasters may thus provide virtual zone-based “localized” programming to devices regardless of location. The virtual zone-based EPG may be functionally identical to conventional EPGs, and thus fully compatible with existing recipient devices, without requiring custom programming or manufacturer resources. Content may be broadcast to virtual zones via multicast IP streams, with primary content provided to a plurality of virtual zones and custom content provided on a stream-by-stream basis.

Abstract: A system and method for determining a pH level of blood in a vessel of a patient including a flexible elongated member configured and dimensioned for insertion in the vessel of the patient, a sensor positioned at the distal portion of the elongated member, and a connector connecting the elongated member to an indicator. The sensor measures the pH level of blood downstream of the blood clot. A system and method are also provided for determining a density of a blood clot in a vessel of a patient for subsequent selection of a treatment method. The system includes a sensor positioned at the distal portion of the elongated member, and a connector connecting the elongated member to an indicator, wherein the sensor determines the density of the blood clot and the indicator provides an indication of the density of the clot.

Abstract: A fracturing system includes a generator having a specific set point, a power storage system, a microgrid, and one or more fracturing system components configured to receive power from the microgrid. In some embodiments, the power storage system includes a chargeable power storage device. The generator provides power to the microgrid via a first circuit breaker. The power storage system is electrically coupled to a second circuit breaker to controllably supply power to or receive power from the microgrid via the second circuit breaker. The power storage system charges when the first and second circuit breakers are both closed. The power storage system stops charging when the one or more fracturing system component requires power. The power storage system discharges power to the microgrid when a load requirement of the one or more fracturing system components is above the set point.

  • Publication number: 20210131396
Abstract: A current control circuit for an ignition system (i.e., igniter current limiter) is disclosed. The current control circuit can reduce a coil current over a soft shut down (SSD) period using an insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) that is controlled by a negative feedback loop, which controls the current limit of the IGBT according to a SSD profile. In order to prevent an unwanted current rise during the soft shut down period, the current control circuit compares a gate voltage of the IGBT to a reference signal and based on the comparison can enable the SSD profile to include a fast ramp. The fast ramp quickly lowers the current limit of the IGBT so that the coil current equals the current limit and can be controlled by the negative feedback loop.

Abstract: Presented herein are embodiments of a fast search on graph methodology for Maximum Inner Product Search (MIPS). This optimization problem is challenging since traditional Approximate Nearest Neighbor (ANN) search methods may not perform efficiently in the nonmetric similarity measure. Embodiments herein are based on the property that a Möbius/Möbius-like transformation introduces an isomorphism between a subgraph of 2-Delaunay graph and Delaunay graph for inner product. Under this observation, embodiments of a novel graph indexing and searching methodology are presented to find the optimal solution with the largest inner product with the query. Experiments show significant improvements compared to existing methods.

Abstract: Innovations in control and use of chroma quantization parameter (“QP”) values that depend on luma QP values. More generally, the innovations relate to control and use of QP values for a secondary color component that depend on QP values for a primary color component. For example, during encoding, an encoder determines a QP index from a primary component QP and secondary component QP offset. The encoder maps the QP index to a secondary component QP, which has an extended range. The encoder outputs at least part of a bitstream including the encoded content. A corresponding decoder receives at least part of a bitstream including encoded content. During decoding, the decoder determines a QP index from a primary component QP and secondary component QP offset, then maps the QP index to a secondary component QP, which has an extended range.
