Publication number: 20210136299Abstract: Image sensors may include backside illuminated global shutter pixels that are implemented using stacked substrates. To provide high dynamic range in the pixels, only a predetermined portion of charge that has been generated in the pixel photodiodes is kept and stored in the pixel photodiodes when the pixels are illuminated by high light levels. In the low light level illumination conditions, all of the accumulated charge is stored in the pixel photodiodes, thereby preserving high sensitivity and low noise. Dynamic charge overflow may be used to increase the high dynamic range. To achieve low noise operation in a global shutter scanning mode, dynamic charge overflow may be combined with correlated double sampling techniques. Dynamic charge overflow may be achieved using a transistor-based overflow device or using an n-p-n based overflow device.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 12, 2021Publication date: May 6, 2021Applicant: SEMICONDUCTOR COMPONENTS INDUSTRIES, LLCInventor: Jaroslav HYNECEK

Publication number: 20210133115Abstract: Memory may be used more efficiently for snapshot metadata by reducing a size of a snapshot metadata object, for example, by removing free nodes from the snapshot metadata object. Removing free nodes may include consolidating free nodes into a single page of a snapshot metadata object and de-allocating the page from the memory allocated for the data structure. Consolidation of free nodes may be achieved by identifying active nodes in the single page, and swapping these active nodes with free nodes from other pages until the single page includes only free nodes. The nodes of the single page that were already free and the active nodes that were swapped with free nodes from another page may be designated for de-allocation. This designating may result in all nodes of the single page being designated for de-allocation, after which the single page of nodes may be de-allocated.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 1, 2019Publication date: May 6, 2021Applicant: EMC IP Holding Company LLCInventors: Jeffrey Wilson, Michael Ferrari, Shruti Gupta, George F. Publication number: 20210133389Abstract: A system and method are presented for interoperability of computer software applications. Subdocuments are located within slots of a main document along with a fully-qualified file identifier. Subdocuments can be saved in the main document in an intermediate format. Editing a slot triggers the opening of the original document in its native application. An intermediate format file is then created and reimported into its original slot. A document containing subdocuments can be exported in its entirety from one program to another. An auxiliary program identifies a target template format and converts the original document to the target template in its native application using the original subdocuments. Page image exports are used to transfer all content in the original application document to a destination document in a different format.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 14, 2021Publication date: May 6, 2021Applicant: Pro Quick Draw LLCInventors: Andrew Erich Bischoff, Troy Bigelow
