Patent number: 10999380Abstract: Methods and procedures allow devices interwork with various types of service layers by updating the device to support the protocol of the M2M/IoT service layer that is being communicated with. Devices can coordinate/initiate download of a service layer API that is compatible with the service layer the device is attempting to use. A service layer can coordinate the autonomous update of a device with the proper service layer API which allows the device to then communicate and use services supported by the service layer component to the device. A service layer can detect a device or application lacking proper service layer functionality and can trigger a management entity to update the device or application with the service layer API required such that the device can then register to the service layer and use its services. A device or application can be customized or optimized to the service layer that it is registered to and using.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 2016Date of Patent: May 4, 2021Assignee: Convida Wireless, LLCInventors: William Robert Flynn, IV, Dale N. Patent number: 10995346Abstract: A system and process is disclosed for adding pre-fermentation separated non-fermentables, e.g., fiber, germ/oil, and/or protein, to a post-fermentation stream in a corn (or similar carbohydrate-containing grain) dry milling process for making alcohol and/or other biofuels/biochemical. The process includes mixing grain particles with a liquid to produce a slurry having starch and non-fermentables. The slurry is subjected to liquefaction to convert the starch in the slurry to complex sugars and produce a liquefied stream including the complex sugars and non-fermentables. After liquefaction but prior to fermentation of simple sugars resulting from conversion of the complex sugars, the non-fermentables are separated out to define a non-fermentables portion and an aqueous solution including the complex and/or simple sugars. The simple sugars are fermented to provide a fermented stream. Then, the separated non-fermentables portion is reincorporated back into the process into a post-fermentation stream.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2017Date of Patent: May 4, 2021Assignee: Fluid Quip Technologies, LLCInventors: Michael Franko, John Kwik, Neal Jakel

Patent number: 10997154Abstract: In one embodiment, a service receives a one or more digests to verify a plurality of requests that were performed by a request handler for one or more clients. The digests summarize processing of the plurality of requests using a first contract. The information for the one or more digests is stored in a plurality of blocks in a distributed ledger. A second contract is executed to verify the processing of the plurality of requests. The second contract generates a first set that stores states for reads of values from the data store; generates a second set that stores states for values written to the data store, and verifies the processing by checking states in the first set are a subset of states in the second set.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 2018Date of Patent: May 4, 2021Assignee: MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY LICENSING, LLCInventors: Srinath T.
