  • Publication number: 20210127332
Abstract: A monitor and control system and a method of monitoring and controlling an onboard system of an assembly includes one or more of a plurality of sensors detects whether an event occurred in the onboard system. The sensors communicate with a master controller when the master controller is in a nominal mode in which the master controller is powered on to actively monitor the sensors, and includes a sleep mode in which the master controller is powered off and does not monitor the sensors when in the sleep mode. An agent controller monitors the sensors when the master controller is in the sleep mode. One or more of the sensors signal the agent controller that the event has occurred. The agent controller signals the master controller to awaken from the sleep mode in response to the one or more of the sensors signaling the agent controller of the event.

Abstract: When a user approaches or accesses a device, the device attempts to recognize the user. A multi-user note management system takes different actions based on whether the user is recognized as the owner of the device, is recognized as a known user of the device, or is determined to be an unknown user of the device. If the user is recognized as the owner or a known user, the system receives user input and stores the user input as a note. If the user is an unknown user, the system does not allow the user to leave a note at the device, or receives user input and captures an image of the user, and stores the user input as a note associated with the captured image. When the owner of the device unlocks the device after a note has been left, the system displays or otherwise presents the notes.

Abstract: Processing circuitry decodes prediction information of a block from a coded video bitstream. The block is a non-square block and the prediction information of the block is indicative of a wide angle intra prediction mode in a specific number of wide angle intra prediction modes with angles that are outside a range of directional modes from a bottom-left diagonal mode to a top-right diagonal mode for a square block. The wide angle intra prediction modes are in a first set of intra prediction modes associated with the block. The directional modes are in a second set of intra prediction modes associated with the square block. The specific number of the wide angle intra prediction modes is a function of an aspect ratio of the block. Further, the processing circuitry reconstructs at least one sample of the block according to the wide angle intra prediction mode.
