Abstract: Provided are systems, methods, and computer-program products for a proxy network that can determine, for a set of objects, an initial differential, where the initial differential is determined using a rules data store of a host network. The proxy network can further determine a supplemental differential for the set of objects. The proxy network can further determine a final differential that is the sum of the initial differential and the supplemental differential. The proxy network can further determine a final sum for the set of objects that is the object value less the final differential. The proxy network can further generate an outbound data packet that includes values corresponding to the set of objects and the final sum. When the host network receives the outbound data packet, the host network can modify an object data store using the values corresponding to the set of objects and the final sum.

Abstract: A system architecture of a gift transaction system is disclosed. The gift transaction system can include a buyer interface module, a recipient interface module, a merchant backend interface module, a store front interface module, a curation module, a reminder module, an analytics module, or a media plug-in interface module. A method of operating the gift transaction system under the system architecture includes: providing an embedded widget on a website to determine gift intent to initiate a gift transaction by a buyer account for a recipient account; generating a gift buyer interface for a first client device to personalize a gift package including a gift item; generating a gift recipient interface for a second client device to customize the gift package; and communicating with a merchant backend system to complete the gift transaction to ship the gift package.

Abstract: The invention generally relates to negative selection of nucleic acids. The invention provides methods and systems that remove unwanted segments of nucleic acid in a sample so that a target gene or region of interest may be analyzed without interference from the unwanted segments. A sample is obtained that includes single-stranded nucleic acid with one or more unwanted segments. Complementary nucleic acid is added to the single-stranded nucleic acid to create a double-stranded region that includes the unwanted segment. The double-stranded region is then digested, leaving single-stranded nucleic acid that includes the target gene or region of interest. This allows paralogs, pseudogenes, repetitive elements, and other segments of the genome that may be similar to the target gene or region of interest to be removed from the sample.

An orientation of the handheld device is determined during playback of at least one of the one or more media streams on the handheld device. A change in orientation of the handheld device is detected. The change occurs during playback of the at least one of the one or more media streams. Based on detecting the change in orientation, a rotation angle of the handheld device is calculated. Based on the rotation angle, the playback of at least one of the one or more media streams is changed on the handheld device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically generating a graphical interface include determining a counter value associated with a counter object and automatically determining one or more corresponding objects using the counter value. A subset of the one or more corresponding objects is determined and a graphical interface including the subset is generated. An updated counter value associated with the counter object is determined according to a modification and one or more updated corresponding objects are automatically determined using the updated counter value. An updated subset of the one or more updated corresponding objects is determined an updated graphical interface including the updated subset is generated and is transmitted, wherein when the updated graphical interface is received, the updated graphical interface facilitates a selection of an updated corresponding object from the updated subset.

An example method of real-time video overlaying includes the steps of: synchronizing frame rates of a depth data, a face meta data, and a video data of a first camera video output captured by a first camera; determining a first depth between a user face and the first camera; using a cutoff depth to determine a user body contour; generating a binary mask of the user body contour based on the first depth and the cutoff depth; smoothing an edge of the binary mask; merging the binary mask with the first camera video output and generating a merged first camera video output; and overlaying the merged first camera video output onto a second camera video output.

Abstract: Neural activity in the brain arising from a stimulus is monitored. A stimulus is applied to a target structure of the brain and a neural measurement is obtained from at least one electrode implanted in contact with the target structure. The neural measurement is configured to capture a measure of any late response arising in the target structure, typically being a neural response arising after conclusion of an ECAP, such as in the period 1.5-10 ms after stimulus onset. The late response(s) can be a useful biomarker such as of therapeutic ranges of deep brain stimulation, disease progression, medication efficacy, and intra-operative changes.

Embodiments include an intelligent storage device comprising a lid with a locking mechanism and a user-controllable device configured to activate the locking mechanism upon receiving a first user input; a container with an opening sized and shaped to receive the lid, wherein the locking mechanism is configured to securely seal the lid to the container when activated; and an electronics module configured to cause deactivation of the locking mechanism in response to receiving a second user input via the user-controllable device and upon confirming authorization of the user to access the storage device.

The systems and methods may detect a gifting signal that is associated with an event corresponding to a recipient. The systems and methods can provide an option to generate a gift for the recipient. If the option is selected, the systems and methods can identify a set of product criteria associated with the event and the recipient. Based on the criteria, the systems and methods can obtain product selection options for the gift and provide these options to a gift sender. In response to a selection from the gift sender, the systems and methods can generate the gift, which includes a redemption option for the selection.
