Abstract: A tire transport apparatus includes at least three arms each having an arm main body and a protrusion disposed to protrude outward at a lower part of the arm main body to lift the tire, an arm extension/retraction mechanism configured to move the at least three arms in a horizontal extension/retraction direction, a lift mechanism configured to raise and lower the at least three arms, at least three optical reflection sensors disposed on an outer side of a circle including distal ends of the protrusions when the at least three arms are above the tire and in a retracted state to detect an object below, and a controller configured to determine that one or more arms among the at least three arms are in an inappropriate position, if one or more optical reflection sensors among the at least three optical reflection sensors detect the tire.

Abstract: Systems and methods for evaluating and presenting robustness of a radiotherapy treatment plan for use in radiotherapy are discussed. An exemplary system includes a processor to generate, in a radiation simulation in accordance with the treatment plan under evaluation, dose distributions at an anatomical structure under a nominal condition and one or more artificially imposed uncertainty conditions, determine a dose distribution characteristic for the anatomical structure using the received dose distributions, and generate a robustness indicator of the treatment plan. The dose distributions may be determined at a target structure and one or more structures at risk, and presented graphically in a three-dimensional dose-volume-structure space. An output circuit can output the dose distribution characteristic or the robustness indicator to a user or a treatment planning system.
Abstract: To provide an adhesive tape that is difficult to deform, can suppress stickiness on the sides, and can reduce the emission of greenhouse gases while meeting the required characteristics of adhesive tape, such as adhesive strength and holding force, the present invention use an adhesive tape including a base material, which is a laminate with a backside layer formed on one side of a base fabric by lamination processing; and an adhesive layer disposed on the opposite side of the base material from the backside layer, wherein the backside layer includes a thermoplastic resin including polyolefin and the adhesive layer includes natural rubber, a wood-based filler, a plant-derived plasticizer and a tackifier.
Abstract: Provided is an electrochromic display element including a first substrate, a first electrode over the first substrate, a first electrochromic layer over the first electrode, an electrolyte layer over the first electrochromic layer, a second electrode over the electrolyte layer, and a second substrate over the second electrode. The first electrochromic layer contains tin oxide having an average primary particle diameter of less than 30 nm and an electrochromic compound containing a functional group bindable to the tin oxide. The amount by mole of the electrochromic compound per area of the first electrochromic layer is from 2.0×10?8 mol/cm2 through 2.0×10?7 mol/cm2.

Abstract: Provided are a method for producing an organic substance and an apparatus for producing an organic substance that are capable of efficiently cooling a synthesis gas and converting the synthesis gas to an organic substance at a high conversion efficiency using a microbial catalyst. A method for producing an organic substance includes a step of passing a synthesis gas G1 discharged from a gasifier 2 through a heat exchanger 20 to cool the synthesis gas G1, a step of passing the synthesis gas G1 cooled with the heat exchanger 20 through a gas cooling tower 21 to cool the synthesis gas G1 with water sprayed in the gas cooling tower 21 and a step of bringing the synthesis gas G1 that has passed through at least the heat exchanger 20 and the gas cooling tower 21 into contact with a microbial catalyst to generate an organic substance.
Abstract: A method for culturing colorectal cancer solid tumor primary cells and colorectal cancer ascites primary tumor cells and supporting reagents. A method for culturing colorectal cancer solid tumor primary cells and colorectal cancer ascites primary tumor cells and supporting reagents. Colorectal cancer solid tumor tissues are treated with mild cell dissociation reagents, and colorectal cancer cells are isolated from ascites with a mild method, thereby ensuring the vitality of cancer cells to the greatest extent. A special serum-free medium is prepared, and colorectal cancer solid tumor-derived tumor cells are cultured in vitro with a suspension culture system to ensure normal expansion of the cancer cells while eliminating the interference of normal cells to the greatest extent. The colorectal cancer primary cell culture obtained by the method are usable for in vitro experiments, second-generation sequencing, building of animal models, and building of cell lines at multiple cell levels.

The embodiments relate to a food and pharmaceutical composition for preventing Alzheimer's disease and Huntington disease by reducing the accumulation of lesional proteins in brain tissue. Abstract: A semiconductor memory device includes a memory cell array and a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) engine. The memory cell array includes a plurality of volatile memory cells coupled to respective ones of a plurality of word-lines and respective ones of a plurality of bit-lines. The CRC engine, during a memory operation on the memory cell array, detects an error in a main data and a system parity data provided from a memory controller external to the semiconductor memory device through a link, generates an error flag indicating whether the detected error corresponds to either a first type of error associated with the link or a second type of error associated with the volatile memory cells based on the system parity data and transmit the error flag to the memory controller.

Abstract: A method for writing data to a shared write buffer, the method includes (i) receiving, by a processing circuit of a compute node of a storage system, a write request for writing to the shared write buffer an information unit associated with an accessing entity located outside the storage system; wherein the shared write buffer is stored in a non-volatile memory of a storage node of the storage system; the storage node is in communication with the compute node; (ii) determining, by the processing circuit whether to (a) store the information unit in a non-shared segment of the shared write buffer, or (b) store the information unit in a shared segment of the shared write buffer while applying a locking mechanism; wherein the determining is based on parameters, the parameters include a writing parameter of the accessing entity, a writing latency parameter associated with the accessing entity, and a locking timing parameter; and (iii) storing the information unit according to the determination.

Abstract: A composable infrastructure module (CIM) with converged functionalities of a network switch, a network interface controller, a software-defined network, a storage virtualisation controller, software-defined storage, redundant array of independent disks (RAID) features, and a composable infrastructure is provided. The CIM includes at least one processor, non-transparent bridge (NTB) devices, an Ethernet switch function, network interface functions, a compose application, and a volume manager module. Each NTB device establishes peripheral component interconnect express (PCIe) connectivity between the processor(s) and multiple nodes and between the nodes, and transfers data therebetween. The Ethernet switch function provides Ethernet connectivity to a spine switch. The volume manager module creates RAID volumes by utilizing storage resources. The compose application selectively pools and extends availability of disaggregated compute, network, and storage resources as direct attached devices on demand.

Abstract: A material for forming an organic film contains (A) a polymer having a repeating unit shown by the following general formula (1), and (B) an organic solvent. In the general formula (1), AR1, AR2, AR3, and AR4 each represent a benzene ring or a naphthalene ring; W1 represents a tetravalent organic group having 6 to 70 carbon atoms and at least one or more aromatic rings; and W2 represents a divalent organic group having 1 to 50 carbon atoms. An object of the present invention is to provide: a material for forming an organic film to enable high etching resistance and excellent twisting resistance without impairing the resin-derived carbon content; a patterning process using this material; and a polymer suitable for such a material for forming an organic film.
