  • Patent number: 5860718
Abstract: The front panel of a drawer is attached to a side wall of the drawer by a device including a support part secured to the side wall and a holding part secured to the front panel, the support part and holding part being coupled together. A rocker element has a shank that mounts the rocker element to the support part. A spring acts on a stop on the shank to bias the rocker element in a direction to be toward a rear of the drawer side wall. The rocker element thus is moved to a coupling position coupling the holding part to the support part. The support part is capable of limited movement toward the rear of the side wall relative to the holding part against a biasing force of the spring.

  • Patent number: 5857955
Abstract: A system, method and computer program for controlling a centrifuge which receives a mixture of liquid and solid particles and separates the liquid from the solid particles. A bowl, along with a conveyor extending inside the bowl, are rotated at different speeds and the speed of, and the torque applied to, the bowl and the conveyor are detected and corresponding output signals are generated. A meter is provided for metering the flow of the mixture to the centrifuge and generating corresponding output signals. A computer responds to instructions from computer programs and controls the speed of the bowl and the conveyor as well as the flow of the mixture and a diluting agent to the centrifuge in response to the output signals in a manner to attain predetermined predetermined optimum operating conditions of the centrifuge.

  • Patent number: 5857515
Abstract: A heat exchanging device absorbs heat from a heat source, in the form of waste fluid, and exchanges the absorbed heat to an object which benefits from warming. The heat exchanging device is coupled to a first structure, the combination of the heat exchanging device and the first structure forming a passage for the waste fluid to flow. Within the passage, absorption fins absorb heat from the waste fluid. The device is also engaged with a second structure which contains the object which benefits from warming. The heat absorb by the fins and the remaining body of the heat exchanging device is exchanged to the second structure, which in turn exchanges the heat to the object contained within the second structure. The heat exchanging device exchanges the heat from the waste fluid to the object in a simple and cost effective manner.

  • Patent number: 5857375
Abstract: Can ends are ejected from a tool station by a lifter ring and air currents in an ejector chute provided by a curved nozzle assembly adjacent an opening in the lower edge of the chute. It entrains can ends in air current across the die station and over a knife edge in the lower opening of the chute. The lower wall of the chute is positioned on top of the blanking die during the can end entrainment. The punch assembly moves down through the lower opening and through a larger opening in the chute. After can end clears the tooling and continues down the chute with air streams that are augmented by nozzles in the upper wall, the chute is lifted. Double-acting cylinder actuators lift the chute. Side walls of the chute taper inwardly to align the can ends for precise release from the discharge end. Sensor emitters sense passage of the can ends. Solenoid valves control application of fluid pressure to opposite ends of the actuator cylinders.

  • Patent number: 5857424
Abstract: A device for positioning a milking machine inflation onto an animal's teat. The device is rubber and has an opening through the device. The device fits over the head of an inflation with the inflation head stopping at an inflation plate inside the device. The inflation with device is positioned over the animal's teat near the udder. The device spaces the inflation from the udder, thus preventing creep of the inflation up the teat and the resultant pinching of the milk canal. Flexible tabs can be provided to the spacer to retain the spacer on the teat. Clip or clips can be provided to hold the device onto the inflation. The device is external to the inflation and is easily removed after milking is completed. The device is easily transferable to another inflation.

Abstract: A flange driver for a cardan joint with a spider comprised of two pins mutually offset by 90.degree. and two essentially same-design yoke halves. Each yoke half includes a base and a bearing part with a bore contained in it. Both yoke halves abutt along an interface which is essentially perpendicular to the axis of a first spider pin supported by the yoke. Both yoke halves feature a system for torque transmission from the shaft adjoining the joint to the flange driver and to the spider or in reverse order. Both yoke halves of the flange driver are joined to each other positively. Each yoke half features on its interface a toothing directed toward the respective complementary interface. The flank lines of the toothing or a plurality of tangents to the flank lines, projected in a common plane with the yoke axis, extend at an angle greater than 0.degree. to smaller than 180.degree. relative to the yoke axis.
