    Abstract: A spent catalyst distributor in a fluid catalytic cracking unit regenerator is self aerated by attaching to the underside of each trough arm a contiguous lip which captures rising aeration fluid and uses the aeration fluid to aerate spent catalyst flowing through the trough arms of the spent catalyst distributor. Orifices in the bottom plate of each trough arm pass the captured aeration fluid up into the spent catalyst flowing within the trough arm. The aeration fluid provides aeration and fluidization of the spent catalyst to facilitate the flow of the spent catalyst through the trough arms of the spent catalyst distributor.

This method of supplying fuel to the dual head combustion chamber optimizes operation of the combustion chamber in all modes of engine operation.

    Abstract: The activity of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) is measured in biological samples as body fluids. ACE-activity is estimated in minimally diluted specimens, using the natural substrate angiotensin I at close to physiological concentration. Femtomoles of generated angiotensin II are trapped by specific high affinity monoclonal antibodies and thus protected from degradation by angiotensinases during the incubation step. The same antibodies are subsequently used for quantitation by radioimmunoassay.

    Abstract: A compression glass lead-in arrangement in a metal body, especially in metal housings for semiconductors, in particular integrated circuits. The lead-through arrangements hermetically seal the interior of the housing relative to the environment. A glass bead is fused into a bore in the housing and the connecting conductor of the integrated circuit is passed outwardly through the glass. Alloys of the systems Cu, Al and Mg, during a cooling phase after the fusing-in exhibit a hardening effect which provides that in conjunction with the alloys, it is possible to produce compression glass lead-in arrangements which possess a hermetic sealing integrity even after a high degree of thermal and/or mechanical loading, have a high resistance to fluctuations in temperature and good resistance to corrosion.

    Abstract: The device includes dispensing units, each of which features a pair of counter-rotating rollers, between which there is inserted the end of a blister band unrolling from a reel and pushed toward a delivery opening. An electric motor drives two ratchet coupling mechanisms acting in opposite directions and connected, by belts or chains, with pulleys or toothed wheels which are integral respectively with the rollers and with a pinion meshing with a rack fastened to the blade. An electronic unit controls and checks the working of the device. Optionally, a token, or coin receiver, a banknote reader or other payment mechanism may be used to allow the user to activate the dispenser after making a payment.
