    Abstract: A clamp, particularly suitable for tidily restraining a set of sheets, documents and the like, appropriately grouped together in a form suitable for easy consultation thereof, preventing individual sheets from falling out or becoming lost. The clamp includes two clamping jaws longitudinally extending and provided on one side with opposite clamping edges for gripping the set of sheets to be clamped; the two jaws are hinged at one of their ends and are provided with a snap-engaging device which can be manually disengaged to allow the insertion or removal of the sheets. The clamp is particularly suitable for gripping a set of individual paper sheets, magazines, newspapers or for other similar applications.

Nozzles adapted for selective use and adjustment independently and in multiple directions and planes also enhance coverage, particularly when fruit and foliage is especially dense or sparse or close to or remote from the ground.

    Abstract: A heavy-duty grinder is disclosed having increased durability and longevity due to a construction that produces low mechanical vibrations and noises during operation. The grinder includes a pair of end plates, preferably solid steel, and a pair of cutting blade rotors carried between the end plates, which are also preferably machined from solid steel. A direct in-line hydraulic drive of the rotors is provided by hydraulic motors and compression fittings which lock the hydraulic motors to the rotors without the need of keys or splines. In this manner, a drive and construction is provided which accommodates load reverses, shocks, and shears encountered during the grinding process without detrimental effect to the mechanical integrity of the grinder. Machined blade pockets having recessed heels are formed on the periphery of the rotors. Knife blades are mounted in the recessed heels for reinforcement and support against cutting. An anvil is disposed in a cutting nip of the rotors having hardened cutting edges.

    Abstract: A universal joint attached to a cardan shaft and adapted for transmitting high torques. The universal joint includes two yokes, with each yoke having two bearing bores. A spider has a plurality of journals which are respectively disposed in the bearing bores. Each journal defines a corresponding journal axis, and has a journal bore defining an inner edge. The spider defines a joint axis extending generally perpendicular to each journal axis. A plurality of radial bearings are disposed within a respective bearing bore for rotatably supporting the journal within the bearing bore. Each radial bearing includes an inner race having a collar extending toward a respective journal axis. The collar extends radially inward of the inner edge and includes a first running face which faces toward the joint axis and parallel to the respective journal axis. A plurality of bearing caps are respectively disposed at an axial end of each journal.

    Abstract: A latch guard for protecting a door latch installed in a door comprises a removable cover plate with a cylinder pivot hole and two mounting holes located generally above and below the cylinder pivot hole. Adjacent to each mounting hole are two slots that extend from the mounting hole. When installed, the cover plate extends over the space between the door and an adjacent door frame in the area of the latch to protect the latch. The cover plate is mounted to the door by first and second mounting bolts that extend through the slots in the cover plate and completely through the door. Each mounting bolt includes a spacer that spaces the enlarged head of the respective mounting bolt so that the cover plate can rotate about the cylinder pivot hole to allow easy installation and removal of the cover plate. The cover plate may also include anti-spread pins.

To pull these stitches reliably into the fabric, the needle passage opening is asymmetrically widened beginning from the site of the needle passage, namely, elliptically beginning from a part semi-circularly surrounding the site of the needle passage in one design, and angularly with an arched limiting edge connecting the legs of the angle in another design.

    Abstract: In a radar, a protective radome is placed in front of a to-be-protected antenna. The antenna is made of several networks that are superimposed. At least one of the active networks can be controlled electrically in two distinct states A or B. In state A, the radome, which is placed in front of the antenna, is transparent for the radar operation frequency band and reflective outside that band. For state B, the radome is reflective for all radar frequencies. The invention especially protects the radar against jammers that transmit outside the radar operation frequency band, while providing for the total camouflaging of the radar when it is not being used.

    Abstract: A stator vane mounting platform is disclosed which provides internal cooling chambers which facilitates the flow of cooling air through the chambers and thus, the cooling of the stator assembly. Baffles define an upstream chamber and a downstream cooling chamber between adjacent stator vanes so as to maximize the airflow and, consequently, the cooling effects of this airflow. The internal cooling chambers are defined by a thick wall and a relatively thin wall, the thin wall being in direct contact with the hot gases passing through the stator assembly. Mounting lugs and flanges are directly attached to the thicker wall so as to mount the stator assembly to the turbine engine structure and to accommodate all of the mechanical stresses encountered during the turbine engine operation.
