  • Patent number: 9322368
Abstract: To reduce size and weight of canister while improving adsorbing/desorbing performance by optimizing adsorbent that fills chamber located at air release side. Adsorbent filling chambers 8, 9 located at air port 5 side, of a plurality of chambers 5˜8 that are arranged in series along an air flow direction in case 2, is formed by macroscopic pore whose diameter is 50 nm or greater. The adsorbent has hollow cylindrical shape whose inside thickness is 0.6 to 1.5 mm and whose outside diameter is 4 to 6 mm or hollow spherical shape whose inside thickness is 0.6 to 1.5 mm and whose diameter is 4 to 6 mm. A ratio of volume of the macroscopic pore whose diameter is less than 500 nm to total volume of the macroscopic pore whose diameter is equal to or greater than 50 nm is within a range of 30 to 70%.

  • Patent number: 9174195
Abstract: To obtain adsorbent (10), meltable core which melts away during baking and binder are added to powdery activated carbon having microscopic pore whose size is less than 100 nm together with water and mixed together, then this mixture is molded into hollow cylindrical shape whose outside diameter is 4˜6 mm and baked. Although macroscopic pore whose side is 100 nm or more is formed by the meltable core, proportion of volume of the macroscopic pore to volume of the microscopic pore is adjusted to 65%˜150%. The adsorbent (10) has shape in cross section formed from cylindrical wall (10A) and cross-shaped radial wall (10B), and thickness of each part is within a range of 0.6˜3 mm. The adsorbent (10) of the present invention can satisfy adsorbing/desorbing performance of fuel vapor, flow resistance as a canister and strength of the adsorbent at the same time.

  • Publication number: 20150211451
Abstract: A first papermaking raw material for an upper layer and a second papermaking raw material for a lower layer are subjected to papermaking so as to form a filtering material with a continuous density gradient from the upper layer to the lower layer. Each of the papermaking raw materials contains natural fibers such as pulp and chemical fibers such as PET. The content of the chemical fibers in the first papermaking raw material is higher than the content of the chemical fibers in the second papermaking raw material. The diameter of the chemical fibers in the first papermaking raw material is larger than the diameter of the chemical fibers in the second papermaking raw material. The thus-obtained filtering material is able to collect a wide size range of particles and is made less susceptible to clogging and longer in life.
