  • Patent number: 9424302
Abstract: In one aspect, data, such as information articles, is sorted and prioritized based on a plurality of factors, such as user interest and popularity of data with respect to other users. The data is sorted by initial personal (i.e., user) data, sorted by the most relevant to the user, while passive interaction data is used to continually reorder the articles in real-time, while new stories are being injected into the stream in real time, all while other articles are increasing/decreasing in stature based on popularity with regard to other users and time decay. As such, the system provides that the information is fed to users in an efficient manner, in a manner based on time relevance, assumed interest with regard to that given user based on past actions by that user or information otherwise known about that user, as well as interest in the articles demonstrated by other users.

  • Patent number: 9226044
Abstract: A system for real time distribution of data and media is disclosed. The system may include a processor that executes instructions to authenticate an employee into an application based on login information received for the employee. The processor may enable the employee to access the application if the employee is authenticated. Once the employee is logged in, the processor may receive media content and information associated with a customer and may transmit the media content and the information to a device of a manager for approval. After the media content and the information are transmitting to the device of the manager, the processor may receive the approval of the media content and the information from the device of the manager. The processor may then proceed to interrupt currently displayed media content on a display device to display video content including the media content and the information associated with the customer.

  • Publication number: 20150081330
Abstract: Embodiments describe a medicant prescribing system, where the prescribing of the medicant is carried out on to a smart card, and where the prescribing is a suggestion without complete specificity of the medicant or its quantities. The card is used to obtain the medicant, and to monitor types and quantities of the medicant both and the quantities of the medicant. An embodiment requires using the card to obtain the medicant, since the prescription has been placed on or otherwise associated with the card. Another aspect requires monitoring the medicant card to monitor the actions at multiple different medicant sources, while using information on the card to pay for the medicant. One aspect forces patients to use the card in order to purchase. An embodiment uses intelligence in the card to allow the card to be used offline, but synchronize with a database. • Patent number: 8982441
Abstract: An insulated glazing unit includes a spacer defining a framed area, first and second glazing panes attached to the spacer, a pane conductive layer on an inner surface of the first glazing pane, and a dielectric layer disposed on the pane conductive layer. A shade for use with the insulated glazing unit is affixed to the first glazing pane. The shade includes one or more layers selected from a resilient layer, a substantially transparent shade conductive layer, and an opaque shade conductive layer. When an electric drive is applied between the pane conductive layer and the shade conductive layer, a potential difference between the pane conductive layer and the shade conductive layer causes the shade to extend from a retracted configuration to an extended configuration. The shade can further include at least one ink coating layer including pigments that selectively reflect or absorb certain visible colors and infrared.

  • Publication number: 20150024351
Abstract: A system and a method for timely learning of words and word units is provided, wherein annotations for the words and word units are offered and displayed in exact page synchronism with the source medium and the annotations can be selected by the user when reading the source medium. An author module provides a marking editor, which makes it possible to mark words and word units as annotations in synchronism with the display of the source medium and an annotation editor, which makes it possible to specify word basic data and meta data for the annotations. A database stores an annotation master data record for each annotation comprising word basic data and meta data. When reading a selected medium, a reading module displays a preset number of annotations in exact page synchronism with the display of the medium and allows the user-specific marking of an annotation, wherein the marked annotation is stored in a user-specific annotation data record of the database.
