Abstract: A double walled insulated container for storing low boiling liquified gases includes inner and outer containers with insulation therebetween. A tubular neck connects the openings of both containers. The joints between the neck tube and the respective containers is designed as conical seated joints whereby the container openings are shrink fitted onto the neck tube with adhesive applied to the conical surface.
Abstract: An adsorption agent is introduced in the insulation chamber of a vacuum insulated double walled vessel for the storage of low-boiling liquefied gases. Specifically the adsorption agent is installed in the chamber before producing the vacuum by housing the agent within a gas and water tight container which bursts in a vacuum.
Abstract: A device is provided for producing a cold treatment gas from nitrogen and air for the cryotherapy of rheumatic diseases in which liquid nitrogen vaporizes and is mixed in the desired ratio with the dry air which is at a higher pressure. The device includes a vessel for the storage of the liquid nitrogen which has a capacity for carrying out at least one or more treatments. Heat exchanging apparatuses are installed in the vessel for channeling a portion of the air which is at a higher pressure. A blending intersection for blending vaporized nitrogen, cooled air and non-cooled air is attached to the vessel. A blower is provided with a dryer having an outlet pipe which branches to a connection with the blending intersection and to a connection with the heat exchanging apparatus.
Abstract: A device for generating a dry cold gas flow by evaporating a low-boiling liquefied gas for cold therapy for rheumatic diseases includes a vessel for accommodating the low-boiling liquefied gas. A hose line is connected to the vessel with an interchangeable treatment nozzle for distribution of the evaporated gas. The vessel has only a small storage volume, and in the vicinity of its bottom, it is provided with an adjustable electrical heater for evaporation of the liquefied gas. The hose line is connected to the vessel by means of an adjustable electrical heating line.
Abstract: In a guidance device for a laser beam (17) repeatedly reflected at 45.degree. mirrors at least six controllable movement axes (X, Y, Z, 4, 5, 7) are provided, of which two movement axes (5,7) are horizontal swiveling axes (11, 14), whereby the one swiveling axis (14) is assigned to the laser head (15). It can be achieved not only with two-dimensional cuts but also with three-dimensional cuts by appropriate adjustment of the swiveling angles (.alpha.,.beta.) at the swiveling axes (11, 14) and by a sufficient distance between the two swiveling axes (11, 14), that the point of intersection (27) on the workpiece (26) is always located vertically under the Z-movement axis, whereby the movement programming of the device is simplified. By adjustment of equal swiveling angles (.alpha.,.beta.) simplified circular arc cuts can be performed by rotation around only one movement axis (4) at horizontal workpieces.
Abstract: A hose is formed as a spiral component hose of synthetic material, which is surrounded by a gas-tight corrugated hose of fiberglass weave coated with aluminum. The insulation for the hose consists of several sequential layers of synthetic material felts and synthetic material foils, preferably a total of three groups, each consisting of a polyester felt, an interior foil of polyethylene, and an exterior foil of polyethylene terephthalate. The outermost finish consists of a corrugated hose of synthetic material.

Abstract: A filler containing easily oxidizable elements such as aluminum, titanium, zirconium, rare earth metals as well as a powder combination containing fluorides and carbonates is used for fusion welding steel, nickel and cobalt alloys and corresponding castings containing easily oxidizable elements. The ratio of the dry weight of all fluorides to the dry weight of the alkaline earth carbonates in the powder combination is at least 2.2:1.

Abstract: A device for producing ozone is characterized by an inner electrode made from a plurality of metal wires. Accordingly, the diameter of the outer electrode is correspondingly reduced. The ratio of the outer diameter electrode to the inner diameter electrode is greater than two.
Abstract: Cold-embrittled parts are surface treated by an abrasive jet through the use of an arrangement which includes as a centrifuge wheel. The centrifuge wheel is self-priming and is connected to a granulate collecting tank via a suction pipe with a spray nozzle for low boiling liquefied gas being arranged in the inlet zone of the suction pipe. The resulting abrasive jet pattern is of the same shape and size as the treatment surface.
Abstract: The low temperature storage of biological or pharmaceutical samples by means of ampullas in a low temperature container should be as compact and easy to handle as possible. For this purpose, cases are arranged in such a container into which boxes containing the ampullas can be placed. Each box has pins on the inside, the center distance of which is equal to the outside diameter of the ampullas and in which the minimum distance from any opposing side walls of the box is equal to the whole number multiple of the outside diameter of the ampullas.
Abstract: Ozone is produced from oxygen in an ozone generator and is separated from the unconverted oxygen in a pressure swing adsorber. The ozone drawn off from the pressure swing adsorber passes through an equalizing tank at least partially filled with silica gel before it is mixed with a flowing medium.
Abstract: The invention concerns a process and device for metering small amounts of a low boiling liquified gas which flows from an orifice of a cold-insulated vessel. In this process and device the orifice of the vessel is sealed off by a gas bubble.

Abstract: High pressure of nicotine with a compressed gaseous solvent is used for producing low nicotine tobacco. A mixture of nitrogen and carbon dioxide with the nitrogen being 50-80 percent of the mixture is used. The extraction is carried out at pressures between 250 and 600 bar at temperatures above 50.degree. C.
Abstract: Apparatus for improving oxygen burner performance in a glass furnace having a chamber with a bottom wall connected to a roof wall by side walls, said walls having refractory surfaces, and an opening in the roof wall, comprises a burner for injecting a flame downwardly into the chamber through the roof opening with the flame being adapted to impinge against a bath of molten glass on the bottom wall of the chamber, a hopper for inserting a shower of cullet into the chamber through the roof opening, and a burner spout having a flared end for forming the shower of cullet into a shroud around the flame and for heating the shower of cullet and for forming the cullet into an annular ridge of unmelted cullet on the top surface of the molten glass bath, whereby said ridge deflects the flame upwardly when the flame bounces from the bath of molten glass so that the flame does not bounce horizontally and impinge against the near surface of the side walls, and the shower of cullet shrouds the flame and protects the furnac
Abstract: An inert gas atmosphere of nitrogen and carbon dioxide is created in a refrigerated container having a diesel engine. A lower oxygen content is maintained by an oxygen limit control while the nitrogen is led into the interior of the container from a gas bottle connected with the container when the predetermined oxygen limit value is exceeded. While the inert gases are being supplied, a constant flow of cold gaseous nitrogen is produced by an electrical evaporator in the liquid nitrogen storage tank and connected to the generator of the diesel engine while carbon dioxide is removed from the gas bottle, heated, released to a constant pressure and fed into the container via throttle points constituting a parallel-switched group of such throttle points which can be individually activated.

The intake line of the cyclone separator is connected to the outlet line of the blower means of a line in which the cryogenic liquefied gas feed ends. The outlet opening of the cyclone generator has attached to it an insulated flexible hose.
