Abstract: A machine for machining workpieces of wood and plastic has a transport path for transporting workpieces through the machine. One or more driven spindles having a tool for machining the workpieces transported through the machine are provided. An adjustable element that is adjustable relative to the tool is provided. At least one data storage is provided for storing data at least of the tool wherein the data are used to determine a position of the adjustable element relative to the tool and are retrievable. In the method for adjusting the machine, characteristic data of the tool are measured and stored in the data storage. The characteristic data are supplied to a control unit. In the control unit positioning data for the adjustable element are calculated based on the characteristic data and then made available for processing the workpieces.

Abstract: A handgun holster has a body that includes inner and outer sides. A catch projects into a handgun receiving pocket toward the inner side. The catch extends within and engages the trigger guard of a handgun carried in the pocket, preventing the handgun from being removed from the pocket. A guide plate is moveable away from the end of the catch in response to outward pressure, to provide clearance for the trigger guard to pass by the catch so that the handgun can be removed from the holster only when the handgun is manipulated appropriately by the wearer. The catch includes a cam surface mounted on a mounting plate so that the trigger guard will slide past the catch when the handgun is placed into the holster. The guide plate and mounting plate cover extend past the rear of the trigger of the holster so as to prevent accidental contact with the trigger.

Abstract: A quick-detachable sling swivel comprises a body and a shift/swing gate mounted on the body through an elongated plunger. The gate, through manipulation of the plunger, is adjustable between open and closed positions relative to the body to enable mounting, demounting and securing of the swivel relative to an external structure.

Abstract: The present process relates to forming of precooked egg patties for future heating within a microwave oven for consumption as a portion of a food article. The process involves the initial step of acquisition of liquid whole eggs, liquid egg whites and/or liquid egg yolks mixed with leavening ingredients (a mix of an acid and a base) to create an egg patty with improved texture and appearance for use within a breakfast sandwich following initial cooking. The following ingredients may be added to further improve the product: non-fat dry milk, modified food starch, gums, and emulsifiers. The process in summary involves adding to liquid eggs leavening ingredients or agents and then cooking of the mixed eggs and leavening ingredients prior to the dissipation of the leavening ingredients to form an egg patty having improved appearance and a light and airy texture.

Abstract: An ultrasonic system useful for providing imaging, therapy and temperature monitoring generally comprises an acoustic transducer assembly configured to enable the ultrasound system to perform the imaging, therapy and temperature monitoring functions. The acoustic transducer assembly comprises a single transducer that is operatively connected to an imaging subsystem, a therapy subsystem and a temperature monitoring subsystem. The ultrasound system may also include a display for imaging and temperature monitoring functions. An exemplary single transducer is configured such that when connected to the subsystems, the imaging subsystem can generate an image of a treatment region on the display, the therapy subsystem can generate high power acoustic energy to heat the treatment region, and the temperature monitoring subsystem can map and monitor the temperature of the treatment region and display the temperature on the display, all through the use of the single transducer.

Abstract: A machine for machining workpieces of wood or plastic material has at least one longitudinal profiling unit with at least one longitudinal profiling spindle. At least one advancing unit is provided for moving a workpiece past the at least one longitudinal profiling unit. The advancing unit has upper clamping jaws arranged above the workpiece and lower clamping jaws arranged below the workpiece such that at least some of the upper clamping jaws are staggered relative to the lower clamping jaws, when viewed in a plan view onto the advancing unit. A small free space is provided between the upper and lower clamping jaws, when viewed in a plan view. During transfer between the machining processes, the workpieces remain clamped at all times so that precise machining is ensured.

Abstract: A document production system is provided for preparing documents and managing a database of information pertaining to investigational studies of medical products. The document production system includes a data management user interface for providing user access to the database and for retrieving information from the database as specified by selected document templates for placement into word processor-compatible documents. Additionally, the data management user interface is capable of updating information stored within the database in accordance with information specified within a previously-prepared document.

Abstract: A method for the preparation of fatty acid alkyl esters by transesterification, in particular catalytic transesterification, of a mixture of triglycerides and fatty acids, wherein from a reaction mixture, in which the transesterification is carried out, an ester phase containing fatty acid alkyl esters and a glycerol phase containing fatty acids are formed, which are separated from each other, and the fatty acids are separated from the glycerol phase, whereby a fatty acid phase containing fatty acids is formed, which fatty acids are esterified with an alcohol, which method is characterized in that the fatty acid phase is mixed with a further mixture of triglycerides and fatty acids and the fatty acids contained in the obtained mixture are esterified with an alcohol, whereby an esterification mixture containing triglycerides and fatty acid alkyl esters is obtained, which esterification mixture is transesterified with alcohol so as to form further fatty acid alkyl esters.

The system retrieves from the accounting software application payment information specifying specific vendors to be paid. The system consults with the electronic payment-capable vendor database to determine if a specific vendor listed for payment is capable of receiving electronic payment. When such a vendor is listed, the system compatibility interfaces with an electronic payment process center for the routing of electronic payment through a financial institution and banking network.

The plane head has at least one axial guide for the second surface milling cutter. The axial guide is a fitting groove provided in the mantle surface of the plane head. The second surface milling cutter has a feather key engaging the fitting groove.

The arrangement includes at least two sequenced transport belts extending parallel to one another, which are guided over deflecting wheels. Grippers are applied to the transport belts to hold the blanks. The grippers comprise controlled, swivelling clamping elements, which can be opened at the deflecting wheels.
