  • Patent number: 5913266
Abstract: A printing cylinder 20 has a length for mass printing and is used for an inking roller group for supplying printing ink, a plate cylinder having a printing plate, a blanket cylinder for printing with the ink transferred from the printing plate, etc. A ring groove 25 is dug at each end face of the printing cylinder 20 so as to open annularly and to have a depth of 1/4 to 1/3 of the length of the printing cylinder 20 in the axial direction of the printing cylinder. Deflection deformation caused on the outer circumference of the printing cylinder 20 can thereby be equalized at the central portion and both end portions of the printing cylinder 20. Axial directional changes in the pressing force caused by the deflection deformation can be reduced, and even with the elongated printing cylinder 20 of the same cylinder diameter as a conventional one, irregularities of inking in the axial direction of the printing cylinder 20 due to changes in the pressing force do not occur.

  • Patent number: 5897294
Abstract: A gas turbine blade having a plurality of shower head cooling holes (1), bored in a blade leading edge portion, are arranged along a single line which is biased so as to correspond to the direction of swirling flow in a combustor. The swirling flow is clockwise or counter-clockwise. In particular, if the flow is clockwise, the cooling holes (1) are biased to the left hand side, as seen from upstream of the blade, toward a blade hub side (HS) from a blade tip side (TS). Also, if the flow is counter-clockwise, the cooling holes (1) are arrayed on one line which is biased to the reverse side relative to the latter case. The influence of the swirling flow is thus avoided, and the pressure at each position of the cooling holes (1) is constant, so that uniform cooling can be attained.

  • Patent number: 5853525
Abstract: After a carcass band is elastically deformed temporarily into a standing wave shape, a bead core is located at a predetermined position on the outside of the carcass band. The elastic deformation of the carcass band is eliminated, and the carcass band is pressed against the inner peripheral surface of the bead core to form a first assembly. The first assembly is held by a first transfer from the outside, and an inner liner band of cylindrical shape with an outside diameter smaller than the inside diameter of the first assembly, is located at a predetermined position in the first assembly. Abstract: A burner for combustion of a pulverized coal mixture having two kinds of rich and lean concentration has, a height of a burner panel reduced and the overall burner simplified. A rich/lean separator (10, 20, 30) is provided within a pulverized coal conduit (2) so that a high concentration mixture is formed in an outer peripheral portion and a low concentration mixture is formed in a central portion within a single pulverized coal conduit. Thus, a rich mixture burner and a lean mixture burner, which have been conventionally provided separately, may be formed into a single burner. Recirculation of air is accelerated by a cutaway slit (20d, 30d) provided in a central portion of the rich/lean separator to make the air flow rate distribution uniform in a pulverized coal nozzle.
