  • Patent number: 5754672
Abstract: A deflection device allows deflection correction control of suspended cargo for deflections having both parallel deflection and skew deflection components. The suspended cargo is held by a suspension tool suspended from a trolley via ropes and is carried together with movement of the trolley. The device has mark detectors provided under the trolley with a range of vision facing downwardly and a corresponding plurality of marks provided opposite of the mark detectors on the suspension tool. A picture processing device generates picture signals of the first and second marks detected by the mark detectors. A deviation amount computing device calculates the deviation of the first and second marks, and a deflection amount calculating device calculates the amount of parallel deflection and the amount of skew deflection based on the computed deviation amount.

  • Patent number: 5753894
Abstract: The invention comprises a continuous hot rolling method in which a rear end portion of a preceding metal block and a fore end portion of a succeeding metal block are cut and the metal blocks are joined to each other by heating and pressing followed by a finish rolling. A region of each metal block is restrained from a clamping position to the end portion thereof in order to prevent a change in level of the metal blocks in heating and pressing the piece. The end portions of the metal blocks can be thus prevented from deformation.

  • Patent number: 5738832
Abstract: An exhaust gas purifying apparatus, which is intended to improve hydrocarbon purifying performance and simplify the after-treatment of adsorbed hydrocarbon, an in which a three way valve 51 is operated under the control of a controller 80 to cause a bypass exhaust gas passage 30 to be communicated with a main exhaust gas passage, so that hydrocarbon in exhaust gas is adsorbed onto an adsorption catalyst 40 when the temperature of a three way catalyst 20 in the main exhaust gas passage 13 is low. When the three way catalyst temperature increases, the bypass exhaust gas passage is shut off from the main exhaust gas passage by the three way valve and the adsorption catalyst is heated by a heater 60, so that the adsorbed hydrocarbon is oxidized at the adsorption catalyst to form a harmless substance.

  • Patent number: 5728655
Abstract: A refrigerating machine oil composition for vapor compression type refrigerating machines is disclosed which can be used with either of HCFC refrigerants and HFC refrigerants. The inventive machine oil composition comprises a polyol ester (ester compound) as a base oil. Furthermore, the base oil contains from 1.0 to less than 5.0% by weight of a phosphate, from 0.1 to 2.0% by weight of an alkyl phosphorothionate and/or an aryl phosphorothionate, and from 0.05 to 2.0% by weight of an epoxy compound. The composition is free from sludge formation and insufficient lubricity, which are drawbacks of the polyol ester, due to the synergistic effect of these additives. On the other hand, the inventive composition provides the desirable properties of a polyol ester base oil, namely, good compatibility with refrigerants, high electrical insulating properties, and low hygroscopicity.
