  • Patent number: 8435177
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process and a system for monitoring exercise motions of a person. The process comprises monitoring a first sensor signal from the person. While the first sensor signal does not deviate from a first sensor signal template by more than a pre-determined amount, signals from further sensors from the person are monitored, compared to templates processing and the comparison result is evaluated. If unit sensor signals deviate from the templates by more than a pre-determined value this is communicated to the person.

  • Publication number: 20130107956
Abstract: An approach is provided for generating a high dynamic range image from a low dynamic range image. The generation is performed using a mapping relating input data in the form of input sets of image spatial positions and a combination of color coordinates of low dynamic range pixel values associated with the image spatial positions to output data in the form of high dynamic range pixel values. The mapping is generated from a reference low dynamic range image and a corresponding reference high dynamic range image. Thus, a mapping from the low dynamic range image to a high dynamic range image is generated on the basis of corresponding reference images. The approach may be used for prediction of high dynamic range images from low dynamic range images in an encoder and decoder. A residual image may be generated and used to provide improved high dynamic range image quality.

  • Publication number: 20130106288
Abstract: The invention relates to supervision circuits (10) for supervising organic light emitting diode devices (1) via detection circuits (20) for detecting failure states of the organic light emitting diode devices (1) and for generating decision signals in response to detected failure states of the organic light emitting diode devices (1), which detected failure states have durations equal to or larger than time intervals. In response to the decision signals, the organic light emitting diode devices (1) can be bypassed and deactivated through switching circuits (30) such as bi-stable circuits. The failure states may include that the organic light emitting diode devices (1) have a relatively low impedance or “short” and a relatively high impedance or “open”. The supervision circuit (10) further prevents the organic light emitting diode devices (1) from being bypassed unjustly.

  • Publication number: 20130109030
Abstract: The invention relates to a cartridge(10) and its use in an examination apparatus(100). A sample(1) can be introduced into an inlet(11) of the cartridge(10) and conducted through a channel(12) to a reaction chamber(13). In the reaction chamber(13), an examination of the sample takes place, for example by frustrated total internal reflection. An agent(21) is applied to the sample close to the inlet(11), wherein said agent(21) is preferably stored in a reservoir(16) at the inlet(11). In this way the filling time of the reaction chamber(13) is simultaneously used for the incubation of the sample with the agent(21). Moreover, the filling-course of the cartridge and/or the reaction chamber may preferably be determined and taken into account during the execution of the examination and/or the evaluation of the results.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a system (100) for selectively processing a sample (130) according to one of a plurality of different assays, for example for detecting a certain target component in the sample. The system comprises a plurality of “specific reagent reservoirs” (120) that contain different sets of reagents, wherein each set is required for one of the assays. Moreover, the system (100) comprises a “universal reagent reservoir” in which reagents for several assays are provided, preferably reagents for all assays. The universal reagent reservoir may preferably be a cartridge (110) in which the processing of a sample (130) can take place and which comprises a plurality of binding sites that are selective for different target components. Depending on the assay to be performed with a sample (130) at hand, the appropriate specific reagent reservoir (121b) is chosen and processed in the universal cartridge (110).

  • Publication number: 20130107770
Abstract: A master-slave distributed communications network includes a master node, a plurality of slave nodes. Each slave node is configured to store an address of the next node for a message to be routed on an uplink to the master node, and when sending a data packet to the master node it appends the pre-stored address and forwards the data packet to the next node thus lengthening the data packet, as the data packet is progressed from the slave nodes to the master node. For a downlink message, the master node using a pre-stored routing table includes in the data packet the addresses of all the slave nodes on the selected route. As the data packet is progressed from slave node to slave node, the address of each slave node which has forwarded the data packet is deleted thus shortening the overall length of the data packet.
