Abstract: A substance delivery module (4) and apparatus (2) for delivering a substance in aerosol form are disclosed. The substance delivery module (4) comprises a substance container (90), a piston (62) and an actuator (100) configured to engage the substance container (90) and urge the substance container (90) onto the piston (62), so dispensing the substance into the through passage (102) of the piston. The actuator (100) and substance container (90) are mounted in the substance delivery module (4) for relative motion, such relative motion bringing the actuator (100) into engagement with the substance container (90). The substance delivery module (4) may be assembled with an aerosol generator (10) and an aerosol delivery conduit (14) to form an apparatus (2) for delivering a substance in aerosol form. The apparatus (2) may further comprise a control module (6).

  • Patent number: 10841769
Abstract: The invention relates to a system and method of transferring user data from a communication module to a data processing center over a telecommunications network. A signalling message is wirelessly received from the communication module in the telecommunications network. The signalling message contains the user data that is subsequently transferred to the data processing center. By inserting the user data in the signalling message (s), it is possible to rapidly transmit data to the telecommunications network, while resources can be saved since it not required to establish a complete circuit-switched or packet switched correction between the communication module and the telecommunications network. The user data may comprise application data of a program run by the communication module, e.g. alarming data, measurement data or derivatives thereof.

  • Publication number: 20200355533
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for metering carbon dioxide snow, comprising a storage container and a discharge opening arranged in the base of the storage container. A horizontally and vertically movable base, by means of which the discharge opening can be opened and closed, is arranged in the region of the discharge opening. A horizontally movable cutting knife is vertically spaced from the base and can be moved into the interior of the storage container. Once the storage container is filled with carbon dioxide snow a metered amount of carbon dioxide snow present between the cutting knife and the base is cut off by the cutting knife and compacted by vertical movements of the base and is then discharged by the base moving into the open position.

  • Publication number: 20200352389
Abstract: A coffee machine makes use of a valve arrangement for controlling the coupling of a water heater outlet selectively to one of two or more outlets, such as a steam delivery nozzle, a brew chamber and a water collection unit (e.g. drip tray). The valve arrangement comprises a rotatable routing element, wherein the angular position of the routing element controls the coupling of the inlet channel to one of the outlets. The rotation is driven by rotational coupling to a brew chamber motor. This coffee machine design makes use of a single valve arrangement to provide the flow control from the water heater. This provides a compact arrangement with a low component count and simple control mechanism.
