  • Patent number: 10846668
Abstract: A method performed by a processor of a financial institution computing system includes allowing an account holder at the financial institution to initiate a transaction with the financial institution remotely (e.g., via smartphone app, online banking portal, etc.), by submitting a request for a branch of the financial institution to provide the specified transaction to the account holder's vehicle upon arrival of the account holder. The pickup and completion of the account holder requested transaction occurs in a designated spot near the financial institution's branch location and from the convenience of the account holder's vehicle. The curbside service alleviates the uncertainty and fluctuating time cost to engage in transactions at a branch of a financial institution by providing an account holder with a user interface to make a transaction request that will be ready to complete when the account holder arrives at the chosen time.

  • Patent number: 10842409
Abstract: The invention relates to a position determining apparatus (6) for determining the position of an interventional instrument (1) within a subject (4). A spatial relation between positions of a second part (3) of the interventional instrument outside the subject and a first part (2) of the interventional instrument within the subject is determined based on an actual image of the interventional instrument within the subject being preferentially an x-ray image and a provided position of the second part. Once the spatial relation has been determined, the position of the interventional instrument within the subject can be determined, while the interventional instrument is moved within the subject, based on the determined spatial relation and a determined actual position of the second part outside the subject, without necessarily acquiring a further actual image. This can allow for a reduction of a radiation dose, if rays are used for acquiring the actual image.

  • Patent number: 10843120
Abstract: A rotary control valve and a sieve bed module assembly for use in pressure swing adsorption processes to make enriched oxygen product gas is disclosed. The valve includes a stepping motor with a single shaft extending between ends. At ends of the valve, an air side valve function and oxygen side valve function are provided. Each end includes a stationary plate (stator) with ports, and a disc (rotor) that rotates with the shaft, opening and closing ports to achieve the desired valve function. The valve is integrated into the assembly between two sieve beds and a product storage tank is directly coupled to the oxygen side. Placement of the motor, shaft, and movable parts in the valve and mounting of the beds, valve, and tank in the assembly, result in more compact designs. The motor can be programmed to obtain multiple, different PSA processes and flexibility.

  • Patent number: 10846687
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method includes determining the locations of a user of a mobile device and a merchant, comparing the locations to ensure a match, receiving from the user's mobile device an identification number associated with the user's stored value card, receiving an identifier generated by a financial institution, the identifier being embedded in a code displayable on the mobile device, and transmitting an indication that the transaction has been completed, the transaction being completed based on the identifier and based on the match. The method may further include determining and informing the user that a stored value card may be used at the merchant located within a first predetermined distance. A non-optical code, such as a radio frequency (RF) input, may be generated and provided to the merchant via the mobile device to identify the stored value card.

  • Patent number: 10842390
Abstract: The present invention includes systems and methods directed towards a wearable device (100, 200) that can measure health parameters in two levels. The wearable device can measure a health parameter of a user using an attached sensor (112). This sensor measurement is checked against a threshold database (126, 146, 156) that details an action to be taken if the sensor measurement satisfies a health threshold. The health can be predetermined by the user or by a professional. This action can be a request to the user of the wearable device to move the wearable device to another part of his/her body so that the wearable device can gather a second sensor measurement that can provide more detail or context for the first sensor measurement. The wearable device can thus provide two levels of sensor data measurement, which it can store and synchronize to storage on a network/cloud service (104) or to another electronic device (102).

  • Patent number: 10848311
Abstract: Some embodiments are directed to a computation device configured to verify that an edit script is for transforming a first string to a second string. The edit script has match operations and difference operations as allowed edit operations. The computation device obtains a representation of the edit script and subsequently performs a validation computation. For each match operation, the computation device determines a character at a current position in the first string and a character at a current position in the second string, verifies that they match, increments the current position in the first string by one and increments the current position in the second string by one. For each difference operation, the computation device increments the current position in the first string and/or the current position in the second string by one.

  • Patent number: 10843007
Abstract: A determination apparatus determines the pose and shape of an introduction element like a catheter within a living being, wherein the introduction element is adapted to be used by a brachytherapy apparatus for introducing a radiation source close to a target object to be treated. A position determination element like a guidewire with an electromagnetic tracking element is introduced into the introduction element such that it is arranged at different locations within the introduction element, wherein the positions of the position determination element within the introduction element are determined. The determined positions are then acquired depending on the determined positions for determining the pose and shape of the introduction element within the living being. This can lead to a determination procedure with reduced user interaction, thereby simplifying the determination procedure for the user.
