  • Patent number: 10645709
Abstract: A packet data transmission system comprises primary stations (PS) having signal transmitting and receiving means and antennas (PA1 to PA4) for propagating downlink signals and receiving uplink signals and a plurality of secondary stations (SS) able to roam within the coverage areas of the primary stations. Each secondary station (SS1) has signal transmitting and receiving means, a predetermined number of antennas (SA1 to SA4), and means for monitoring its radio environment. Information about the radio environment is relayed as an uplink signal to the respective primary station which modifies its mode of transmission of packet data signals. The secondary station in response to the modified mode of transmission of the downlink signals adapts its receiver resources to process the packet data signals and effect cancellation of any interference.

  • Patent number: 10638980
Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to a system configured to predict decompensation in a subject with heart failure. The system comprises one or more hardware processors configured by machine-readable instructions to receive weight information, blood pressure information, and heart rate information about the subject; determine one or more weight parameters, one or more blood pressure parameters, and one or more heart rate parameters based on the received information; and predict decompensation in the subject based on the one or more weight parameters, the one or more blood pressure parameters, and the one or more heart rate parameters. Prior art systems use weight parameters alone for such prediction. However, weight parameters alone are often not predictive of decompensation.

  • Patent number: 10642948
Abstract: The appliance includes a jet source of fluid, and a nozzle assembly through which the fluid is directed and then out for application to the teeth. A flow interrupter assembly is mounted within the nozzle assembly, such that the interrupter assembly is responsive to the fluid flow to produce momentary successive interruptions of the fluid flow by the action of the interrupter assembly moving from an original position to a flow interrupting position and then returning to its original position as the flow decreases and then is interrupted, due to the fluid flow itself, resulting in a cyclical perturbation in the fluid flow from the nozzle, by flow action alone.

  • Patent number: 10641851
Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) coil array with multiple RF coil elements for a magnetic resonance examination system is disclosed. The decoupling of RF coil elements involves sets (pairs) of transformers and may also include geometrical overlap of adjacent coils. The mutual coupling between the transformers is adjustable. This provides additional degrees of freedom to fully decouple the RF coil elements from each other.

  • Patent number: 10639670
Abstract: A caulking gun for dispensing viscous material does not have any freeloop. A brake device is in the first and in the second position inclined relative to the axis of the push rod and a release device pushes the brake device in a third, essentially perpendicular position relative to the axis of the push rod in order to disengage the push rod from the brake device for pulling back the push rod and for acting simultaneously on the push device in order to disengage the push rod. Because the brake device is inclined in the first and in the second position due to the action of a spring acting on one end of the brake device and clamps the rod so that any freeloop (because the brake device does not clamp the rod in the upright position) is avoided.

  • Publication number: 20200132031
Abstract: An electronic carburetor injection system is provided for an internal combustion engine. The electronic carburetor injection system is a standalone, user programmable fuel injection system that delivers additional fuel to the engine whenever a lean fuel/air mixture is delivered by a carburetor. The electronic carburetor injection system includes a fuel injector that delivers liquid fuel in the form of a spray discharge. A plate supports the fuel injector between the carburetor and an intake manifold of the engine. The plate includes an injector port that allows the spray discharge to enter the intake manifold without interfering with operating the carburetor. An engine control unit operates the fuel injector according to signals received from an oxygen sensor that is disposed within an exhaust system of the engine. During operation, the electronic carburetor injection system maintains the fuel/air mixture within a proper range across multiple driving conditions and changing environmental conditions.

  • Publication number: 20200129906
Abstract: An air filter oil composition is provided for enhancing airflow and filtration of air passing through an air filter. The composition includes a first portion comprising paraffinic oil, a second portion comprising polyalphaolefin (PAO), and a third portion comprising black dye. Applying the air filter oil composition to a cotton air filter material causes tackiness throughout the air filter material, thereby enhancing airflow and filtration of air passing through the air filter. The composition generally is substantially non-reactive, has an excellent oxidation stability, possesses good thermal stability, and retains a suitable viscosity at normal operating temperatures of an automobile engine. In an embodiment, the composition comprises 96.74% paraffinic oil by volume, 3.20% PAO by volume, and 0.06% black dye by volume. A viscosity of the composition at 100 degrees-C ranges between substantially 7.2 and 7.6 centistokes (cSTs).

  • Publication number: 20200132000
Abstract: A throttle control system and methods are disclosed that provide a driver of a vehicle with greater control over engine functions and vehicle performance. The throttle control system processes input signals from a throttle pedal of the vehicle and sends modified throttle position signals to a throttle body of the vehicle so as to increase throttle responsiveness of the vehicle. The throttle control system includes a control module, a wiring harness, and a signal adjuster. The wiring harness electrically couples the control module with the throttle pedal and the throttle body. The control module sends signals directly to the throttle body of the engine, bypassing an electronic control unit of the vehicle. The signal adjuster includes a rheostat that enables manual adjustment of the throttle responsiveness of the vehicle. A control dial coupled with the rheostat facilitates hand operation of the rheostat.

  • Publication number: 20200129912
Abstract: A hydrocarbon absorbing air filter box is provided for absorbing evaporative hydrocarbon emissions from an air intake duct of an internal combustion engine. A combined mass airflow sensor and hydrocarbon trap comprising the hydrocarbon absorbing air filter box includes a duct supporting a hydrocarbon absorbing sheet within an interior of a housing. The duct communicates an airstream from an air filter to the air intake duct during operation of the internal combustion engine. An opening in the housing receives a mass airflow sensor into the duct, such that the mass airflow sensor is disposed within the airstream. Guide vanes extending across the duct reduce air turbulence within the airstream passing by the mass airflow sensor. Ports disposed along the duct allow the evaporative hydrocarbon emissions to be drawn into the interior and arrested by the hydrocarbon absorbing sheet when the internal combustion engine is not operating.
