Publication number: 20200132004Abstract: A system and methods for a turbo-boost control system are disclosed for providing a driver of a vehicle with greater control over vehicle performance. The turbo-boost control system instructs an electronic control unit of the vehicle to increase the manifold pressure to a higher level before releasing the pressure through a waste gate so as to provide a greater power output of the engine. The turbo-boost control system includes a control module, a wiring harness, and a signal adjuster. The wiring harness couples the control module with a turbo inlet pressure sensor, a manifold absolute pressure sensor, and an electronic control unit of the vehicle. The control module sends signals to the electronic control unit based on input readings from the turbo inlet pressure sensor and the manifold absolute pressure sensor. The signal adjuster includes a rheostat that enables manual adjustment of the power output of the engine.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 25, 2019Publication date: April 30, 2020Applicant: K&N Engineering, Inc.Inventor: Steve Williams

Publication number: 20200133817Abstract: A system and method for generating a data set structured for recognition of time series data by a machine learning computer are provided. The method includes acquiring time series data, generating tensor units based on the time series data, and identifying a target tensor unit including a time of failure of a mainframe computer system. The method further includes generating tensor sets, in which at least one tensor set includes the target tensor unit. The generated tensor sets are then migrated to a machine learning computer for generating or updating of a computer model based on the time series data, the computer model recognizing a data pattern preceding the time of failure of the mainframe computer system. Patent number: 10631821Abstract: An interactive visual guidance tool for an imaging acquisition and display system and configured for user navigation with respect to a blockage of a field of view (216) detects, and spatially defines, the blockage. It also integrates, with the image for joint visualization, an indicium (244) that visually represents the definition. The indicium is moved dynamically according to movement, relative to the blockage, of the field of view. The indicium can be shaped like a line segment, or two indicia (244, 248) can be joined in a “V” shape to frame a region of non-blockage. The defining maybe based on determining whether ultrasound beams in respective directions are blocked. Included, for deriving the image, in some embodiments are imaging channels for receiving image data for which a metric of coherence, i.e., similarity among channel data, is computed. The determination for a direction is based on the metric for locations in that direction.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2014Date of Patent: April 28, 2020Assignee: KONINKLIJKE PHILIPS N.V.Inventors: Sheng-Wen Huang, Emil George Radulescu, Ramon Quido Erkamp, Shougang Wang, Karl Erhard Thiele, David Prater

Patent number: 10638119Abstract: A display image for a display panel (503) of an autostereoscopic display projecting the display image in a plurality of view cones is generated. A source (803) provides a three dimensional representation of a scene to be displayed and a generator (805) generates the display image from the representation. For each pixel, the generator (805) determines a scene viewpoint direction indication reflecting a view point direction for the scene in response to a direction mapping function and a view cone projection direction indication reflecting a projection direction for the pixel within the view cones. The direction mapping function reflects a relationship between view cone projection directions and scene view point directions. The pixel value corresponding to the view point direction is then generated from the three dimensional representation. In addition, a processor (809) determines a viewer characteristic; and an adapter (811) for adapts the direction mapping function in response to the viewer characteristic.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 2016Date of Patent: April 28, 2020Assignee: Koninklijke Philips N.V.Inventor: Bart Kroon

Patent number: 10631808Abstract: A biomarker of lung condition can conventionally be obtained using a spirometer. A spirometer provides an estimate of the volume of air expelled by the lungs. This is a rather indirect biomarker of the staging of a lung condition, because a reduction in lung volume may only manifest itself at a point where symptoms are well advanced. A lung condition such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD) is typically not visible on conventional X-ray attenuation images, because the relevant tissue (alveoli-bearing microstructured lung tissue) contains a lot of air. The X-ray dark-field can successfully indicate microstructure, such as lung alveoli. Therefore, imaging the lungs using the dark-field can provide information on the status of COPD.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2016Date of Patent: April 28, 2020Assignee: KONINKLIJKE PHILIPS N.V.Inventors: Roland Proksa, Jens Von Berg
