  • Patent number: 4735213
Abstract: This electronic blood pressure measurement device includes a cuff with pressurization, draining, and sensing means, a means for generating from the cuff pressure signal a pulse wave signal, and a means for determining for the patient a value for systolic blood pressure. This blood pressure determining means detects an interval during which the amplitude of the pulse wave signal increases substantially linearly, and sets the systolic blood pressure value using the pulse wave amplitude at the end of that interval. Optionally but desirably, this means locates an approximate start of the linear interval as being a point where the pulse wave amplitude has a certain relation to the pulse wave amplitude at the end of the interval, and determines the value for systolic blood pressure to be the cuff pressure at such an approximate start of the interval.

  • Patent number: 4734669
Abstract: An electromagnetic contactor according to the present invention is so constructed that the electromagnetic device and the fixed point of contact are fixedly fitted into a casing which is divisible in the direction along the moving direction of a polar contact. Moreover, a bottom casing with a screw mounting hole is fitted in the outer peripheral portion at the lower end of the casing. Therefore, the rigidity of the casing as a whole is enhanced, and at the same time the working characteristics can be prevented from being changed when the screw is mounted. Furthermore, the positioning accuracy of the electromagnetic device relative to the fixed point of contact is determined only by the dimensional accuracy of the casing and the electromagnetic device, and by the position accuracy of the fixed point of contact. The contact pressure is improved to be stable.
