The orchestrator device may forward the response, to the third module.
Abstract: A system and method are presented for the design and fabrication of arrays of vacuum photodiodes for application to solar power generation. In a preferred embodiment, each photodiode cell comprises a microfabricated enclosure with a hermetically sealed vacuum, an absorptive photocathode, and a transparent anode, wherein the photocathode and the anode are separated by a vacuum gap of less than about 20 micrometers. Light incident on the photocathode through the anode leads to a flux of electrons passing from the photocathode across the vacuum gap to the anode. In a further preferred embodiment, the photocathode is backed by a reflection layer with, e.g., controlled diffuse reflection, thus increasing the efficiency of energy extraction. An array of such cells may be manufactured using automated thin-film deposition and micromachining techniques.
Abstract: Introduced here are techniques for digitally characterizing the movement of a subject in order to detect the presence of a disorder or monitor the progression of the disorder. More specifically, one or more angular features can be identified that define how certain part(s) of the human body move relative to other part(s) of the human body. These angular feature(s) can be used, for example, to affirmatively diagnose instances of a disorder, eliminate a disorder as the source of symptoms experienced by a subject, generate confidence scores that can be used to assist in diagnosing a subject, monitor disorder progression due to treatment or lack thereof, etc.

Abstract: A stalk roll having twelve flutes extending radially from the main cylinder along the length of the main cylinder. Within the row unit opposing stalk rolls cooperate to engage and capture the corn stalk, thereafter, controlling and processing the corn stalk. The flutes may be configured with differing edges to facilitate control and movement of the stalk to the point of ear separation within the row unit. The flutes may be configured such that opposing compressive forces acting on the exterior of the stalk at approximately 180° of separation operate to implode the stalk while sharp edges on the flutes operate to cut the stalk into small segments which are deposited on the ground for decomposition.
Abstract: Event prioritization for an ordered event stream (OES) is disclosed. Unlike conventional prioritization techniques, the disclosed subject matter can be performed by an OES data storage system to provide direct, rather than indirect, control of prioritization. In an embodiment, a prioritized hashed key (PHK) can be determined from an event characteristic and an indicated event priority value based on a selectable priority-sensitive hashing function. As such, events with a same key characteristic but different indicated priorities can have different PHKs, events with different key characteristics but the same indicated priority can have different PHKs, and events with the same key characteristic and the same priority can have a same PHK. An event priority can be inherently comprised in the PHK without needing to explicitly store the priority value with a written event in the OES. Moreover, the disclosed prioritization for the OES can be compatible with OES scaling techniques.
Abstract: Systems as described herein may enhance merchant databases using crowdsourced browser data. An electronic payment server may receive cache information associated with the first transaction from a browser extension. The electronic payment server may retrieve a transaction record for a second transaction in a transaction database, wherein the first transaction matches with the second transaction. The electronic payment server may update a merchant record in a private merchant database with a friendly merchant name based on the cache information. Upon determining that the merchant record in the private merchant database exceeds a threshold confidence level, the merchant record may be promoted to a trustworthy database, and the friendly merchant name may be presented to a user device.

Abstract: The systems/methods analyze the vast reservoir of data that is collected in-flight during a commercial aircraft's travels over several months. That data is analyzed to identify and remove data points that do not represent stable cruise. This may be achieved in multiple steps to manage the extremely large data sets. The data points, now representing stable cruise, are further analyzed to identify control surfaces that are out-of-tolerance (i.e., mis-rigged). That information is subsequently utilized to re-rig the identified mis-rigged control surfaces which, in turn, results in increased aircraft fuel efficiencies.

Abstract: A process for re-refining used lubricating oil (ULO), much of which is used motor oil (UMO) relies on more rapid heating, turbulent flows, higher peak temperatures, to achieve rapid thermal cracking, even including metal-bearing additives without catalysts, compared to conventional refining of crude oil and conventional recycling processing of UMO. By thermally cracking this way and scrubbing with recycled, processed liquids from the flow stream, a process readily removes metal-bearing hydrocarbons in typical lubricating oil additives. Those bonded metals consigned to heavy fraction “bottoms,” are commonly non-removable by other recycling schemes. Long chain polymers including paraffins are broken into lighter hydrocarbons with properties typical of fuels containing olefins, naphthenes, and the like. Data and analysis reveal low solids, effective metal removal, comparatively low viscosity and boiling points, and greatly reduced sulfur content in fuel and oil products resulting.
