Abstract: An optical system is provided. The optical system includes a light emitting diode that generates light emissions. The optical system includes a collimator that receives the light emissions and that generates a collimated beam. The optical system includes an etendue re-shaper that splits the collimated beam into beam parts and that arranges the beam parts adjacent to each other to generate an adjacent beam part arrangement. The optical system includes micro-lens arrays that receive the adjacent beam part arrangement and that generate beams. Each of the beams includes an optimum optical efficiency or a far field intensity distribution.

Abstract: A method includes receiving a sequence of acoustic frames extracted from unlabeled audio samples that correspond to spoken utterances not paired with any corresponding transcriptions. The method also includes generating, using a supervised audio encoder, a target higher order feature representation for a corresponding acoustic frame. The method also includes augmenting the sequence of acoustic frames and generating, as output form an unsupervised audio encoder, a predicted higher order feature representation for a corresponding augmented acoustic frame in the sequence of augmented acoustic frames. The method also includes determining an unsupervised loss term based on the target higher order feature representation and the predicted higher order feature representation and updating parameters of the speech recognition model based on the unsupervised loss term.

Abstract: In some examples, a computing device may be configured to store data to storage subsystems in a storage pool. The computing device may determine, for each storage subsystem, a performance potential quantity representative of a relative performance of the storage subsystem, and may determine a respective initial distribution weighting for each storage subsystem based at least on the performance potential quantities. Further, the computing device may determine, for each storage subsystem having a percentage of storage capacity used that is more than a threshold amount greater than a percentage of storage capacity used by the storage subsystem having a lowest percentage of storage capacity used, one or more amounts by which to adjust the initial distribution weighting to determine a respective desired distribution weighting for each storage subsystem. The computing device may select one or more storage subsystems to receive data based at least on the desired distribution weightings.
Abstract: A wireless device transmits, to a base station, at least one first measurement report of at least one synchronization signal of a cell. An indication, of one or more channel state information reference signals (CSI-RSs) of the cell, is received from the base station based on: the at least one first measurement report. and a first antenna port of the one or more CSI-RSs being quasi-collocated with a second port of the at least one synchronization signal. Based on the indication, at least one second measurement report of the one or more CSI-RSs is transmitted. Abstract: Among other things, techniques for securely booting processors in a vehicle are described. An apparatus comprises a circuit coupled to one or more processors of a vehicle and managing a secure boot process for the processors. The circuit receives an indication that the vehicle has been powered on and sends, to a network server, a request for boot files for the processors of the vehicle. In response, the circuit receives, from the server, most recent versions of boot files respectively corresponding to the processors, wherein each boot file includes a digital signature of a trusted authority. In response to obtaining the most recent versions of the boot files, the circuit sequentially boots the processors using the respective boot files, wherein each processor executes a corresponding boot file upon verifying authenticity of the digital signature in the boot file using a corresponding class authentication key.
