Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for detecting a change in a drivable area. For example, the method includes determining a ground height associated with a cell of a tile map based on sensor data from a sensor of a vehicle and updating a base map based on a determination that there is a change in a drivable area of the vehicle based on at least the ground height.
Abstract: A TPM with programmable fuses in an SOC includes an on-die RAM storing a blown-fuse count and a TPM state including a PIN-attempt-failure count and a fuse count, read from off-die NV memory. During initialization, if the blown-fuse count is greater than TPM state fuse count, TPM state PIN-attempt-failure count is incremented, thereby thwarting a replay attack. A PIN is received for access, and if the TPM state PIN-attempt-failure count satisfies a policy, a fuse is blown and the blown-fuse count incremented. If the fuse blow fails, TPM activity is halted. If the fuse blow succeeds and the PIN is correct, the TPM state PIN-attempt-failure count is cleared, but if the PIN is incorrect the TPM state PIN-attempt-failure count is incremented. TPM state fuse count is set equal to the blown-fuse count, and the TPM state is saved to off-die NV memory.

Abstract: A method for resolving address resolution protocol (ARP) requests includes, at an ARP listening entity of a computer network, receiving an ARP request for a MAC (media access control) address of a destination entity having a specified IP (internet protocol) address, the ARP request received from a requesting entity, wherein a design of the computer network prevents broadcast of the ARP request to the destination entity. An ARP response is transmitted to the requesting entity, the ARP response specifying a response MAC address to facilitate transmission, by the requesting entity, of a data packet targeting the response MAC address, and wherein prior to receipt of the data packet at the destination entity, the specified IP address is associated with an actual MAC address of the destination entity according to an IP-to-MAC mapping.
Abstract: A load control device adapted to be coupled between an AC power source and an electrical load for controlling the power delivered to the load includes a controller, an actuator for turning the electrical load on and off, an occupancy detection circuit, and an ambient light detector. The load control device automatically turns on the electrical load in response to the presence of an occupant only if the detected ambient light is below a predetermined ambient light level threshold. After first detecting the presence of an occupant, the load control device monitors actuations of the actuator to determine whether a user has changed the state of the load. The load control device automatically adjusts the predetermined ambient light level threshold in response to the user actuations that change the state of the load.
Abstract: Drone-based offroad vehicle routing systems and corresponding methods are proposed. In one aspect, a vehicle and uniquely assigned an aerial drone embedded with sensors, radar, lidar, etc. may establish a data link. The driver or occupant may input information into the user interface in the vehicle about a region or destination of interest. The vehicle's processor may instruct the drone to scout a target region and receive data about the topographic features of the terrain. The drone may scout the region, receive the data, and forward the data to the vehicle. The processor may compute optimal routes based on data from both the drone and the vehicle sensors. In some aspects, the drone performs calculations of the route and may communicate in or near real time with the vehicle. The system may take into account vehicle data, the skill level of the driver, or both.

Abstract: Enhanced battery pack controllers and control methods are disclosed. One illustrative battery pack controller includes: a monitor circuit that couples to a battery pack load terminal to detect when a voltage of the battery pack load terminal indicates a load condition; a fault detection circuit that couples to a current path through an array of one or more battery cells to detect when a current indicates a fault condition; a switch control circuit that selectively de-asserts a discharge transistor control pin, asserts the discharge transistor control pin, and ramps a voltage or current of the discharge transistor control pin in an open loop fashion for at least 10 ms; and a status detection circuit that in the absence of a fault condition causes the switch control circuit to perform said ramping responsive to detection of the load condition while the discharge transistor control pin is de-asserted.
Abstract: A method being implemented via execution of computing instructions configured to run at one or more processors. The method can include determining a primary store and one or more secondary stores for pickup of an order of a user, which can include: performing a first lookup call to a first cache of one or more proximate access points based on the primary store; and when a list of the one or more proximate access points is not retrieved in the first lookup call: performing a second lookup call to a second cache of active access points; determining the one or more proximate access points from among the active access points; and storing the one or more proximate access points in the first cache to update the first cache. The method also can include transmitting, for display to the user, a list of available time slots based on availability of time slots at the primary store and the one or more secondary stores. Other embodiments are described.
Abstract: More effective authentication protocols for provisioning electronic devices are provided. An approval signal responsive to a provisioning request may be transmitted in real-time, such as under four seconds in certain embodiments. An authentication score for the provisioning request may be calculated even after transmitting the approval signal. In certain embodiments, information gathered from the successful provisioning of a device can be used in the authentication scoring process. Authentication scores deemed to fall below a requisite threshold may be used to suspend the provisioned device, therefore, limit the ability for the device to utilize the account, however, without withdrawing the approval or granted digital token. Certain implementations may negate the need to transmit further approvals or confirmations following determining an authentication score met a threshold.
