  • Patent number: 12008353
Abstract: A computer-implemented method that automatically parses an input source code files containing multiple functions to create one or more files, each containing a single-purpose function, for deployment on a serverless computing platform, such as Function-as-a-Service (“FaaS”), is disclosed herein. The method includes receiving an input source code file and creating a mapping table from the input source code file. A first function from the input source code file is mapped and a single-function output file for the first function is generated. The single-function output file is then deployed, for example, on the serverless computing platform.

  • Patent number: 12010340
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for video encoding. In some examples, an apparatus includes processing circuitry that identifies a reference sub-block in a previously reconstructed block of a picture. The processing circuitry determines whether reconstructed samples of the reference sub-block are included in an intra block copy search range according to a position of a current sub-block in a current block of the picture. The processing circuitry determines whether the reference sub-block is valid based on the reconstructed samples of the reference sub-block being determined as included in the intra block copy search range according to the position of the current sub-block. The processing circuitry further encodes the current sub-block based on the reconstructed samples of the reference sub-block in response to the reference sub-block being determined as valid.

  • Patent number: 12008190
Abstract: A computing device includes signal generation circuitry and also includes a location on the computing device that is operative to couple a signal generated by the signal generation circuitry into a user. For example, the computing device includes signal generation circuitry that generates a signal that includes information corresponding to a user and/or an application that is operative within the computing device. The signal generation circuitry couples the signal into the user from a location on the computing device based on a bodily portion of the user being in contact with or within sufficient proximity to the location on the computing device that facilitates coupling of the signal into the user. Also, the signal may be coupled via the user to another computing device that includes a touchscreen display that is operative to detect and receive the signal.

  • Patent number: 12007044
Abstract: A method of assembling a pipeline at a seabed location comprises landing a connection tool on the seabed over a free end portion of a first pipeline section already placed on the seabed. The connection tool is locked to the free end portion of the first pipeline section, a lower end of a second pipeline section is connected to the connection tool via an initiation line. While applying tension to the initiation line against reaction force of the connection tool, at least a lower end portion of the second pipeline section is landed on the seabed with the lower end facing a free end of the first pipeline section. The lower end of the second pipeline section is then pulled into mechanical engagement with the free end of the first pipeline section.

  • Patent number: 12009838
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for storing and processing quantum information. More particularly, a physical layout is provided to perform Floquet codes. The physical layout includes a quantum processor having an array of qubits (e.g., columns of tetrons or hexons in which Majorana zero modes are located on topological superconductor segments) with a gateable semiconductor devices forming interference loops to perform two-qubit Pauli measurements. Coherent links between qubits in a column enable certain two-qubit Pauli measurements, especially those additional two-qubit Pauli measurements used at a boundary surrounding a region of the bulk code. The two-qubit Pauli measurements are selected to minimize a size of the interference loops. Certain embodiments perform Floquet codes in six time steps. Hexagon embodiments tile the array of qubits with unit cells of 6-gon vertical (or horizontal) bricks. Square-octagon embodiments tile the array of qubits with unit cells of two 4-gon and two 8-gon bricks.

  • Patent number: 12008005
Abstract: A database system is operable to initiate execution of a query via a subset of a plurality of nodes. After initiating the execution of the query, failure detection data is generated indicating a first node included in the subset of the plurality of nodes based on determining execution condition data for the first node compares unfavorably to node execution condition requirements. Node reassignment data is generated based on the failure detection data by assigning a new node in the plurality of nodes to replace the first node in the query execution plan for a remainder of the execution of the query. A resultant is generated for the query in accordance with completion of the execution of the query, where at least a portion of the execution of the query is performed via the new node.

  • Patent number: 12008777
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system and method embodiments to implement a validation of an SfM map. An embodiment operates by receiving a motion-generated map corresponding to a digital image, generating a first depth map, wherein the first depth map comprises depth information for one or more triangulated points located within the motion generated image. The embodiment further receives a light detection and ranging (lidar) generated point cloud including at least a portion of the one or more triangulated points, splats the lidar point cloud proximate to the portion of the one or more triangulated points and generates a second depth map for the portion and identifies an incorrect triangulated point, of the one or more triangulated points, based on comparing the first depth information to the second depth information. The incorrect triangulated points may be removed from the SfM map or marked with a low degree of confidence.
