Abstract: Disclosed is a reaction mixture for the manufacturing of a polyurethane foam, which mixture can be obtained by reacting a polyfunctional isocyanate with an isocyanate-reactive compound, in the presence of a scavenger and at least one catalyst; and curing such reaction mixture enables providing a foam with reduced aldehyde emissions particularly useful in means of transport, such as interior part of cars.

Abstract: A thruster system for improved steering and maneuverability of a marine vessel when operating at relatively low, or wakeless speeds, such as in the vicinity of docks, swimmers or other obstacles, or when trailering, beaching or mooring. The thruster system has a modularized design adapted to independently control separate motor/propeller units located at various positions on the vessel's hull. Each propeller of the modular thruster motor system has its own relatively small, electric motor and mounting bracket, permitting each motor to be separately mounted to a location on the hull of the marine vessel apart from other thruster motors. The thruster system is further enhanced by an electrical control system for controlling each modular thruster motor system of the thruster system. In some embodiments, a charging system is provided that permits each electrical control system to be separately charged from the marine vessel's main battery.

Abstract: A wireless device receives configuration parameters of a cell. The cell comprises bandwidth parts (BWPs). The BWPs comprise a first active BWP. The configuration parameters comprise a timer value for a BWP inactivity timer. A first downlink control information (DCI) indicating an activation of the cell is received. In response to the first DCI indicating the activation of the cell: the first active BWP is activated; and the BWP inactivity timer is started based on the timer value. During the BWP inactivity timer running, a second DCI is received via the first active BWP.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for transmitting information optically. For instance, a system may include an optical source configured to generate a beam of light. The system may include at least one modulator configured to encode data on the beam of light to produce an encoded beam of light/encoded plurality of pulses. The system may include a spectrally-equalizing amplifier configured to receive the encoded beam of light/encoded plurality of pulses from the at least one modulator and both amplify and filter the encoded beam of light/encoded plurality of pulses to produce a filtered beam of light/filtered plurality of pulses, thereby spectrally equalizing a gain applied to the encoded beam of light. In some cases, the system may slice the beam of slight, to ensure a detector has impulsive detection. In some cases, the system may include a temperature controller to shift a distribution curve of wavelengths of the optical source.

Abstract: Various embodiments of an adjustable mold and method for making precast concrete traffic barrier panels with different geometries are disclosed. The panels are used for creating a continuous traffic barrier by placing the panels in a contiguous side-by-side arrangement adjacent a roadway atop a modular earth retaining wall. Each traffic barrier panel has a body with at least front, back, top, bottom, left, and right sides. The mold body has a plurality of walls that define an interior chamber, a door opening to the interior chamber, and a concrete inlet to the interior chamber. The door is designed to be installed on and to be uninstalled from the mold body to respectively close and open the door opening. The door has left side and right side forming panels that are designed to define respectively a left side two-dimensional geometry and a right side two-dimensional geometry of the left and right sides respectively of a traffic barrier panel to be made.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for allocating memory. An example method includes: allocating, for an application logic, a region of external primary memory included in a memory appliance; selecting, by a client device in response to a first request to reclaim a first portion of local primary memory in the client device, a portion of external primary memory from the region of external primary memory; copying data from the first portion of local primary memory to the portion of external primary memory; and converting a portion of a first virtual address space at the client device by remapping at least one virtual address in the first virtual address space at the client device from the first portion of local primary memory to the portion of external primary memory.

Abstract: A system for identifying and deleting records of hosts includes a local data manager. The local data manager identifies a discovery event associated with the host and a record type of record types, obtains, in response to identifying, all previously discovered records on the host associated with the record type from a host record repository, obtains discovered records associated with the record type and associated with the host, after obtaining all discovered records and previously discovered records, selects a previously discovered record of the previously discovered records, makes a determination that the previously discovered record does not match any discovered records of the discovered records and is not tagged with a soft delete tag or a hard delete tag, and in response to the determination, tags the previously discovered record with a soft delete tag, and notifies a data manager of modifications to the previously discovered records.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for firewall configuration. A request can be transmitted to a DNS server. A response to the DNS request can include an Internet Protocol (IP) address. A firewall rule can be generated permitting access to the IP address. The firewall rule can be configured to be valid until expiration of a time-to-live value in the response to the DNS request. Thus, firewall rules can be automatically created as needed by executed processes, eliminating the need for manual firewall rule creation. As the firewall rule is invalid after the expiration of the time-to-live value, risks associated with maintaining out-of-date firewall rules are eliminated, as is the requirement to manually remove or modify out-of-date firewall rules.

Abstract: A cooling module includes a first cooling plate having a first internal channel and a second cooling plate having a second internal channel. The cooling module includes an interconnect frame coupled in between the first and second cooling plates, the interconnect frame includes a third internal channel that connects the first internal channel to the second internal channel. The cooling module includes a first injection plate attached to a bottom portion of the first cooling plate and a second injection plate attached to a bottom portion of the second cooling plate, the first and second injection plates manage a distribution of coolant fluid to dedicated areas of electronic chips adjacent to the first and second injection plates. The cooling module includes a first pump frame coupled to an inlet port at the first cooling plate, a first pump disposed at the first pump frame to directly intake a coolant fluid.

Abstract: An optical communications network comprises optical data links interconnected by add-drop nodes, the optical data links comprising data channels. The data channels are allocated into equal-sized bins. In response to a first data channel request between a given source-destination pair, one of the equal-sized bins is assigned to the data channel request. In response to requests for additional bandwidth for the same source-destination data channel request, unused channels within the assigned equal-sized bin are allocated to the data channel request. In response to subsequent data channel requests between different source-destination pairs, additional unallocated equal-sized bins are assigned to the subsequent data channel requests. In response to subsequent data channel requests when resource sharing for one equal-sized bin, data channels in the last equal-sized bin are assigned using the reverse channel assignment process. Reverse channel assignment can also be used for other bins as an option.

Abstract: A slide-action hinged-lid pack includes a hinged-lid inner pack configured to hold consumer items. The hinged-lid inner pack includes a front wall, a back wall, a left side wall, a right side wall, a bottom wall and a hinged-lid pivotally connected to an upper end of the back wall for movement between an open position and a closed position, and an outer shell. The hinged-lid inner pack can slide from a first position at which the hinged-lid is in the closed position to a second position at which the hinged-lid is in the open position. The outer shell includes a first stop tab on an inner side of the back wall. The hinged-lid inner pack includes a second stop tab on a tongue extending from the hinged-lid, and a third stop tab on the back wall of the hinged-lid inner pack.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed to facilitate creating the sensation of vibrotactile movement on the body of a user. Vibratory motors are used to generate a haptic language for music or other stimuli that is integrated into wearable technology. The disclosed system in certain embodiments enables the creation of a family of devices that allow people such as those with hearing impairments to experience sounds such as music or other input to the system. For example, a “sound vest” or other wearable array transforms musical input to haptic signals so that users can experience their favorite music in a unique way, and can also recognize auditory or other cues in the user's real or virtual reality environment and convey this information to the user using haptic signals.

Abstract: The present invention relates to seat systems, and more specifically to seat systems suitable for supporting users sitting in a cross-legged or kneeling position during activities such as meditation. Sitting closer to the ground, cross-legged, and/or kneeling enables the brain to easily enter a parasympathetic mode, providing users of the seat system a greater sense of calmness. The Multi-Angle Knee blocks (MAKs) offer a greater level of hip support for users.

Abstract: A minimally invasively implanted anchor support for securing a medical device to a heart wall including an anchoring member and an expandable distal anchor retraint which is implanted through the anchoring member, through the heart wall, and expands on the opposing heart wall side to anchor a medical device. A single-stage anchor system includes the distal flange and a two-stage anchor system includes the distal flange and a proximal flange which cooperates with the distal flange to secure a medical device to the heart wall and methods of a single-stage anchor system and a two-stage anchor system.

Abstract: Veterinary pharmaceutical compositions for direct systemic introduction, also known as DSI pharmaceutical compositions. One veterinary pharmaceutical composition for direct systemic introduction includes about 10-17 dry mass % bovine gelatin; about 10-17 dry mass % mannitol; about 0-1 dry mass % of a surfactant; and about 65-80 dry mass % of the active pharmaceutical ingredient which is a proton pump inhibitor. A method of manufacturing a veterinary pharmaceutical composition for direct systemic introduction includes combining one or more pharmacologically inactive compounds to form a first solution; using one or more surfactants to form a second solution; adding an active pharmaceutical ingredient to the second solution to form a first mixture; adding the first solution to the first mixture to form a pre-formulation; freezing the pre-formulation; and lyophilizing the pre-formulation.

Abstract: A method for playing a hold 'em card game with two hands provides a variant to a standard hold 'em card game by dealing four hole cards to a player, with each set of hole cards being independently played, bet, raised, or folded in relation to the same community cards. An initial round of wagering occurs, followed by dealing four hole cards to each player. The hole cards are played independently of each other. There is another round of betting, before a turn and a river are also dealt. If the dealer's best of five hands exceeds a poker hand ranking of the player's, the player forfeits the wager. If the player's best of five hands exceeds the dealer's, the player receives an equal amount of units to the wager.
