Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for refilling fluid containers. A fluid container may include a bottle and a valve assembly. The valve assembly may include two valves and be configured to engage with the bottle and a filling head or dispensing head. A system is configured to provide pressurized fluid to the refillable container, monitor filling, determine when to stop filling, and determine how much fluid was provided. The valve assembly may include a float mechanism coupled to one of the valves of the valve assembly to ensure fluid flow is stopped when the fluid container is full. The fluid, which can include carbon dioxide, is stored in a storage tank. A flow system provides the fluid to a filling head, which engages with the fluid container. The flow system includes a transfer pump, valves, and sensors configured to provide the fluid to the filling head.

Abstract: A method includes determining a measured eye gaze position of an eye of a user. The method also includes determining a first incremental change in the measured eye gaze position by processing the measured eye gaze position by a long short-term memory (LSTM) model, and determining a first predicted eye gaze position of the eye at a first future time based on the measured eye gaze position and the first incremental change. The method additionally includes determining a second incremental change in the first predicted eye gaze position by processing the first predicted eye gaze position by the LSTM model, and determining a second predicted eye gaze position of the eye at a second future time subsequent to the first future time based on the first predicted eye gaze position and the second incremental change.
Abstract: A cross-correlation system includes control circuitry that obtains first sensor data of a first user from a radio detection and ranging system. A first portable device carried by the first user is detected based on the first sensor data of the first user. Second sensor data is obtained from the first portable device based on the detection of the first portable device of the first user. The first sensor data and the second sensor data are cross-correlated to obtain cross-correlated information of the first user. A first gesture specific to the first user is recognized based on the cross-correlated information. A first controllable device is identified from a plurality of controllable devices and a first action that is to be executed at the identified first controllable device, based on the first gesture. The identified first controllable device is controlled to execute the first action based on the first gesture.
Abstract: A soil monitoring system includes a controller having a memory and a processor. The controller is configured to instruct an actuator to drive a shank to move upwardly and downwardly, such that at least one soil monitoring sensor coupled to a lateral side of the shank moves in a cyclical pattern through soil as the shank is driven to move through the soil along a direction of travel. The controller is also configured to receive multiple sensor signals from the at least one soil monitoring sensor while the at least one soil monitoring sensor is at respective depths within the soil, in which each sensor signal is indicative of at least one soil property. In addition, the controller is configured to determine a vertical profile of the at least one soil property based on the sensor signals.
Abstract: A fish model to replace the use of live fish in hydroelectric studies is provided. The fish model is cast from ballistic gel to include the density, dimensions, and weight distribution of a selected species of living fish. The fish model is formed by additively manufacturing a mold based on a three-dimensional scan of an actual fish. The mold is then used to mass produce fish models for force measurement testing at various blade speeds, thickness, and impact angles. Each fish model includes a surrogate skin and an internal sensor for strike force measurements. Optional additional sensors include strain gauges, temperature probes, pressure probes, and load sensors, for example.
Abstract: A traffic marker illumination device for improving the visibility of a traffic marker to provide warnings for constructions sites and roadways. The traffic marker illumination device is designed to removably attach to an interior portion of a traffic marker. The traffic marker illumination device generates a light to illuminate the traffic marker based on the geographic position of the traffic marker and surrounding environmental elements.

Abstract: A holographic skew mirror has a reflective axis, or skew axis, that can be tilted with respect to its surface normal. Tilting the skew axis in two dimensions with respect to the surface normal expands the holographic skew mirror's possible field of view, e.g., to 60 or more. These additional angles can be accessed using an out-of-plane writing geometry with matched total internal grazing extension rotation (TIGER) prisms.

Abstract: Technology is disclosed for selecting at least one icebreaker people highlight, with respect to a person of interest in a target group, to be shown on one or more user devices. The target group is determined, along with a set of feature values in common among the target group. Similarly, a reference group related to the target group is determined, along with a set of feature values for the reference group. For each feature value in the set of common target group feature values, a frequency of the feature value with respect to the determined reference group is determined. Based on the determined frequency, at least one icebreaker people highlight from the determined set of feature values in common among the target group is caused to be presented on the user device.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method, system and computer program product for optimal query scheduling for resource utilization option. In an embodiment of the disclosure, a process for optimal query scheduling includes receiving in an information retrieval data processing system at a contemporaneous time, a request for deferred query execution of a specified query to a future time after the contemporaneous time. The method additionally includes determining a frequency of change of data corresponding to a field referenced in the specified query. Then, on condition that the frequency of change is below a threshold value, an intermediate time prior to the future time but after the contemporaneous time can be identified and the specified query scheduled for execution at the intermediate time instead of the future time. But, otherwise the specified query can be scheduled at the future time as originally requested.
