Abstract: A watershed autonomous robotic data recorder maps subsurface topography and obtains water quality data for bodies of water. The device is capable of fully autonomous, manual, or hybrid navigation and includes a modular hull design which enables customization to accommodate both large and small bodies of water. A tangle-proof propulsion system is provided, to propel the hull(s). A deployable sensor pod includes a water sensor for determining if the sensor pod is in water, a pressure sensor for determining depth of the sensor pod, and a plurality of sensors for measuring water conditions. An onboard controller operates a winch that raises and lowers the sensor pod while the controller and a GPS receiver log positions of the sensor pod. This three-dimensional environmental, physical and chemical water quality attribute data collection creates a digital twin of the body of water to establish a common data environment for water modeling and analysis.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing error detection in a network, and, more particularly, to methods, systems, and apparatuses for implementing error and/or fault detection in a network and/or media stream and providing options to address the error and/or fault in the network and/or media stream. In various embodiments, a computer might detect an error in a first network and send a notification indicating that the error has occurred. The notification might contain one or more options to address the error in the first network. The computer, a user device, a service provider device, or a content provider device might receive and display the notification containing the one or more options. The computer, the user device, the service provider device, or the content provider device might then select at least one of the one or more options to address the error in the first network.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating real-time location-based notifications are described. In some aspects, the system processes, using a first machine learning model, a real-time video stream to determine a measure of significance of an event depicted in the real-time video stream. The system determines whether the user was present at the event. Based on determining that the user was present at the event, the system processes a user profile for the user and the measure of significance of the event to determine whether to generate for the user a cryptographic token associated with the event. Based on determining to generate for the user the cryptographic token associated with the event, the system generates a notification to the user including information for accessing the cryptographic token for the user.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for performing a frequency-dependent joint component secondary transform (FD-JCST). The method includes obtaining a plurality of transform coefficients in a transform coefficient block; determining whether at least one of the plurality of transform coefficients is a low-frequency coefficient; based on determining that the at least one of the plurality of transform coefficients is the low-frequency coefficient, determining whether the low-frequency coefficient is a non-zero value; and based on determining that the low-frequency coefficient is the non-zero value, performing a joint component secondary transform (JCST) on the low-frequency coefficient and signaling a related syntax to indicate that the JCST is performed.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for implementing cognitive behavioral therapy to help a subject to manage a psychiatric or mental condition of the subject are provided. Interactive digital reality (DR) activities are provided through an interactive DR scene, each configured for a subject to practice a specific reframing technique. In some embodiments, a method also includes providing one or more additional psychotherapeutic or psychoeducational techniques. Through the practice of satisfying conditions associated with each interactive DR activity, the systems, methods, and devices help a subject to manage a psychiatric or mental condition of the subject, such as by getting better at recognizing and/or challenging an anxious thought as the thought occurs, and/or by reframing the anxious thought into more a different thought using the interactive DR scene.

The transaction card may determine whether the verification signature matches one of the verification values stored on the memory, enable the applet including the instructions for execution by the processing circuitry in response to the determination the verification signature matches one of the verification values, and prevent enablement of the applet including the instructions for execution in response to the determination the verification signature does not match any of the verification values.

Abstract: A structural assembly for a battery structure includes a lower wall and a pair of cross members. The lower wall is configured to support a cell stack. The cross members are spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction of a vehicle. Each cross member supports a respective side of the cell stack and is configured to extend substantially an entire width of the battery structure. Each cross member includes an outer wall, an inner wall, and connecting members that connect the outer wall to the inner wall. The outer wall, the inner wall, and the connecting members cooperate to define an internal cavity. The inner walls of the cross members are secured to the lower wall to form a unitized structure that houses the cell stack.

The method may further include determining presence of a second vehicle in a first vehicle blind-spot area based on the first input. The method may further include calculating a time spent by the second vehicle in the first vehicle blind-spot area. Furthermore, the method may include determining whether the time spent is greater than a predetermined threshold. Responsive to a determination that the time spent is greater than the predetermined threshold, the method may include comparing a first vehicle range and a run-off area, and updating a first vehicle speed based on the comparison.

Abstract: A method includes receiving a training dataset that includes one or more spoken training utterances for training an automatic speech recognition (ASR) model. Each spoken training utterance in the training dataset paired with a corresponding transcription and a corresponding target sequence of auxiliary tokens. For each spoken training utterance, the method includes generating a speech recognition hypothesis for a corresponding spoken training utterance, determining a speech recognition loss based on the speech recognition hypothesis and the corresponding transcription, generating a predicted auxiliary token for the corresponding spoken training utterance, and determining an auxiliary task loss based on the predicted auxiliary token and the corresponding target sequence of auxiliary tokens. The method also includes the ASR model jointly on the speech recognition loss and the auxiliary task loss determined for each spoken training utterance.

The tracking data includes coordinates of players during the game. The computing system generates optical character recognition data for the game from the broadcast video data by applying one or more optical character recognition techniques to each frame of the plurality of frames to extract score and time information from a scoreboard displayed in each frame. The computing system detects a plurality of events that occurred in the game by applying one or more machine learning techniques to the tracking data. The computing system receives play-by-play data for the game. The computing system generates enriched tracking data. The generating includes merging the play-by-play data with one or more of the tracking data, the optical character recognition data, and the plurality of events.

Abstract: A forest fire retardant composition contains a retardant compound that includes a phosphate salt. The phosphate salt may include diammonium phosphate, diammonium orthophosphate, monoammonium phosphate, monoammonium orthophosphate, monosodium phosphate, disodium phosphate, disodium phosphate hydrate, sodium ammonium phosphate, sodium ammonium phosphate hydrate, sodium tripolyphosphate, trisodium phosphate, or dipotassium phosphate, and combinations thereof. The forest fire retardant composition may include an ammonium source. The composition may be in the form of a dry concentrate, a liquid concentrate, or a final diluted product. The final diluted product is effective in suppressing, retarding, and controlling forest fires while exhibiting corrosion resistance and low toxicity.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments relate to secure documents that are capable of being in an activated or deactivated state. When in the activated state, the document may be redeemable; when in the deactivated state, the document may not be redeemable. The document may be issued in the deactivated state and may require activation before being used. In order to activate the document, a user may log into an account associated with the document and scan a code printed on or embedded in the document. Using their account, the user may issue an activation command. This activation process ensures that, at the time the document is transferred, it is either in the presence of the user or the user is aware of the location of the document, and that the user wishes to authorize the transfer. Thus, even if the document is stolen or misplaced, it cannot be used without the requisite authorization.

Abstract: A heat pump includes a refrigerant loop. The refrigerant loop includes a first heat exchanger, a first region of a second heat exchanger, a third heat exchanger, a fourth heat exchanger, a compressor, a vapor generator, and a four-way valve. The compressor includes a low-pressure inlet, a mid-pressure inlet, and an outlet. The vapor generator is positioned downstream of the outlet of the compressor and upstream of both the low-pressure inlet and the mid-pressure inlet. The four-way valve is positioned immediately upstream of the first heat exchanger. At least one component chosen from the first heat exchanger, the second heat exchanger, and the vapor generator is free from compressor-driven flow of the first heat exchange fluid during a first predetermined set of heating modes of operation of the heat pump and a first predetermined set of cooling modes of operation of the heat pump.
