Abstract: A communication technique for synchronizing a set of radio nodes is described. In this communication technique, the radio node arbitrates (e.g., using a precision time protocol or PTP) with the other radio nodes based on a selection technique to select a synchronization master in the set of radio nodes. This synchronization master may be selected to have a predefined performance based on a type of communication environment of the set of radio nodes. For example, the type of communication environment may include overlap between at least one of the radio nodes in the set of radio nodes and a macrocell in a cellular-telephone network, or may exclude overlap between the set of radio nodes and the macrocell. Moreover, the synchronization master may specify time, frequency, and phase synchronization for the set of radio nodes. Thus, when the synchronization master is different from the radio node, the radio node synchronizes with the synchronization master.
Abstract: Described herein is a technique to facilitate filtering during candidate retrieval stage performed by an information retrieval system that utilizes embedding models. An aNN indexing structure is created for each end-user, and in some instances, each activity type. This allows a single request for candidate content items to invoke a single process to obtain content items that satisfy the filtering criteria (e.g., in this case, the in-network requirement) from the separate per-end-user indexes.

Abstract: The disclosure generally pertains to systems and methods to classify a road based on a level of support offered by the road for autonomous driving operations. An example method may involve a computer receiving sensor data from a vehicle, the sensor data containing information about a current functional condition of a road. Abstract: This invention provides processes and systems for converting biomass into high-carbon biogenic reagents that are suitable for a variety of commercial applications. Some embodiments employ pyrolysis in the presence of an inert gas to generate hot pyrolyzed solids, condensable vapors, and non-condensable gases, followed by separation of vapors and gases, and cooling of the hot pyrolyzed solids in the presence of the inert gas. Additives may be introduced during processing or combined with the reagent, or both. The biogenic reagent may include at least 70 wt %, 80 wt %, 90 wt %, 95 wt %, or more total carbon on a dry basis. The biogenic reagent may have an energy content of at least 12,000 Btu/lb, 13,000 Btu/lb, 14,000 Btu/lb, or 14,500 Btu/lb on a dry basis. The biogenic reagent may be formed into fine powders, or structural objects. The structural objects may have a structure and/or strength that derive from the feedstock, heat rate, and additives.

Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards managing data retention policy for stream data stored in a streaming storage system. When a request to truncate a data stream from a certain position (e.g., from a request-specified stream cut) is received, an evaluation is made to determine whether the requested position is within a data retention period as specified by data retention policy. If any data prior to the stream cut position (corresponding to a stream cut time) is within the data retention period, the truncation request is blocked. Otherwise truncation from the stream cut point is allowed to proceed/is performed. Also described is handling automated (e.g., sized based) stream truncation requests with respect to data retention.
Abstract: A new cultivar of Buxus plant named ‘JN Select I’ that is characterized by its slightly tall height with a wide globe plant form with minimal shearing each year, its foliage that is very glossy and dark green in color during the growing season with the dark green foliage color retained in winter when provided shade, its very good cold hardiness with hardiness at least to U.S.D.A. Zone 4, and its high resistance to boxwood blight.
