Abstract: A method for performing a backup operation includes obtaining, by a backup server, a backup request, wherein the backup request specifies a virtual machine to be backed up, wherein the virtual machine is hosted by a production host, and in response to the backup request: obtaining classification data from the backup agent, initiating a backup classification on an unprocessed backup associated with the virtual machine based on the classification data to obtain a sensitivity tag, and initiating a data processing on the unprocessed backup based on the sensitivity tag.

Abstract: A cross-correlation system includes control circuitry that obtains first sensor data of a first user from a radio detection and ranging system. A first portable device carried by the first user is detected based on the first sensor data of the first user. Second sensor data is obtained from the first portable device based on the detection of the first portable device of the first user. The first sensor data and the second sensor data are cross-correlated to obtain cross-correlated information of the first user. A first gesture specific to the first user is recognized based on the cross-correlated information. A first controllable device is identified from a plurality of controllable devices and a first action that is to be executed at the identified first controllable device, based on the first gesture. The identified first controllable device is controlled to execute the first action based on the first gesture.
Abstract: A pet bowl is provided that comprises a housing defining a water container, a proximity sensor located proximate to the water container, the proximity sensor having conductive circuitry comprising a first circuit made of a first metal and a second circuit made of a dissimilar second metal, and a controller processing signals received from the proximity sensor, the controller selectively switching the conductive circuitry between a first configuration operating as the proximity sensor to sense water contained in the container and a second configuration operating as a thermocouple to sense temperature proximate to the water container.

Abstract: A display system for a vehicle includes a light source configured to emit a light and a fiber-optic cable coupled to the light source. The fiber-optic cable has a first fiber end and a second fiber end opposite the first fiber end. The first fiber end is coupled to the light source. The second fiber end is attached to a vehicle body of a vehicle. The display system includes a piezoelectric actuator coupled to the fiber-optic cable end adjacent to the second fiber end. The piezoelectric actuator is actuated to vibrate the second fiber end of the fiber-optic cable to project an image on the vehicle body adjacent the second fiber end while the light source is activated.

Abstract: The technology relates to identifying sensor occlusions due to the limits of the ranges of a vehicle's sensors and using this information to maneuver the vehicle. As an example, the vehicle is maneuvered along a route that includes traveling on a first roadway and crossing over a lane of a second roadway. A trajectory is identified from the lane that will cross with the route during the crossing at a first point. A second point beyond a range of the vehicle's sensors is selected. The second point corresponds to a hypothetical vehicle moving towards the route along the lane. A distance between the first point and the second point is determined. An amount of time that it would take the hypothetical vehicle to travel the distance is determined and compared to a threshold amount of time. The vehicle is maneuvered based on the comparison to complete the crossing.

The weight port may have a threaded section and an unthreaded section. A first weight portion may be coupled to the unthreaded section by an epoxy or other adhesive. A second weight portion may be threadingly fastened to the threaded section. Abstract: A magnetic resonance (MR) imaging acceleration method is provided. A method for determining a trusted context of operation by an in-vehicle Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS) for learning of a vehicle platform, including executing the NIDS to monitor a set of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and vehicle state elements by receiving a set of vehicle derived inputs about a vehicle's operating state; in response to a determination about the vehicle's operating state, identifying the trusted window during which learning about network topology and whitelisted messages contained in a vehicle platform is allowable; creating a vehicle-specific configuration containing a list of networks of topologies and whitelisted messages in use by the ECUs in the vehicle platform, and preventing misconfiguring of at least one network in the list of network topologies and whitelisted messages of the vehicle-specific configuration in the vehicle platform outside the trusted window.

Abstract: A combination for illuminating the interior of a building comprises a fixture and a retrofit kit. The fixture has a base attached to a building ceiling, the fixture having a first tombstone, and a second tombstone. Abstract: Techniques for presenting a search result with an improved user interface. A computer system can receive, from a user device, a request for a content item. Additionally, the system can select, based on the request, a first content item from a plurality of content items. The first content item can be associated with an organization image and an organization name of an organization. Moreover, the system can process, using one or more machine-learned model, the organization image to determine whether the organization image is acceptable to be presented in the search result. Subsequently, the system can transmit, to the user device, the first content item and the organization image to be presented in the search result.
Abstract: A circuit for driving the voltage of a capacitive element between two voltage levels has at least one driver cell with a first pair of switches connected in series between a first terminal of a voltage source and the capacitive element, and a second pair of switches connected in series between a second terminal of the voltage source and the capacitive element. A plurality of non-dissipative elements may be connected in parallel or in series between the first pair of switches and the second pair of switches. Combinations of switches from the driver cells may be activated and deactivated in a defined sequence to provide step-wise transfer of energy to the capacitive element. The defined sequence may have a switching pattern with a voltage change portion arranged to cause a change in an output voltage of the capacitive element driver during application thereof on the capacitive element driver.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a storage device, for electric grid modeling using surfel data are enclosed. An electric grid wire identification method includes: obtaining a set of surface elements (surfels), wherein each surfel of the set of surfels represents a portion of a surface of an object in a geographic region; selecting, based on one or more surfel attributes, one or more surfels of the set of surfels that each represent a portion of a surface of an electric grid wire; generating a representation of the electric grid wire from the selected one or more surfels; and adding the representation of the electric grid wire to a virtual model of the electric grid. Obtaining the set of surfels can include obtaining ranging data of the geographic region; and generating the set of surfels from the ranging data.
