  • Patent number: 12193574
Abstract: A bed frame that can be assembled without the use of tools. The bed frame can also be easily collapsed into a relatively compact package since the normal long side rails are comprised of two components that can be manipulated such that the two components can be in an end to end orientation when the side rails used in a bed frame or in a generally side by side orientation to facilitate shipping and storage. The cross rails can also be formed of two components that can be moved between an end to end orientation and a generally parallel orientation. A locking system locks certain of the components into a fixed position when in the end to end orientation.

  • Patent number: 12195036
Abstract: According to some embodiments, systems, methods and media for dynamically generating scenario parameters for an autonomous driving vehicles (ADV) are described. In one embodiment, when an ADV enters a driving scenario, the ADV can invoke a map-based scenario checker to determine the type of scenario, and invokes a corresponding neural network model to generate a set of parameters for the scenario based on real-time environmental conditions (e.g., traffics) and vehicle status information (e.g., speed). The set of scenario parameters can be a set of extra constraints for configuring the ADV to drive in a driving mode corresponding to the scenario.

  • Patent number: 12196517
Abstract: A charging handle assembly and handguard for Armalite (AR) style rifles or other similarly designed firearms is provided. The charging handle assembly includes at least one charging handle, at least one charging handle plate, and charging rod. The charging handle assembly is designed such that it is repositioned to a location, within the handguard, in front of the bolt carrier group of the firearm. More specifically, the repositioned charging handle assembly operates in a non-reciprocating fashion. When the user transitions the charging handle assembly from a first position to a second position, i.e., pulls the charging handle in a first or rearward direction within an elongated receiving slot in the hand guard, the charging rod pushes a front end of the bolt carrier group in the first direction thereby compressing the spring, such that the spring launches the bolt carrier group into a charged position thereby charging the firearm.

  • Patent number: 12199757
Abstract: Various arrangements for improving performance of code split communications are presented herein. A second portion of a first codeword and a third portion of a second codeword can be transmitted using symbols such that each transmitted symbol includes bits from the second portion of the first codeword and bits from the third portion of the second codeword. At a receiver, decoder inputs can be generated for the third portion of the second codeword based on an optimized constellation and the second portion of the first codeword. The second portion of the first codeword is used to identify a label group of the optimized constellation and eliminate all other label groups of the plurality of label groups. Within each label group, symbol labels are Gray labeled. However, at least a first symbol label is not Gray labeled with an adjacent second symbol label of a different label group.

  • Patent number: 12194988
Abstract: Systems and methods of controlling an active safety feature of a vehicle are provided. The systems and methods receive radar data from a radar device of the vehicle and image data from a camera of the vehicle. Object detection and tracking processes are performed on the radar data and the image data to identify and track objects in an environment of the vehicle. Conditions are assessed with respect to identified objects to ascertain whether a radar track is erroneously reported as a separate object to a camera track. When the conditions are assessed to be true, an object corresponding to the camera track is used as an input for controlling an active safety feature of the vehicle and an object corresponding to the radar track is discounted for controlling the active safety feature of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 12200276
Abstract: An encoder may determine one or more encoding characteristics associated with a content segment of a content asset. The one or more encoding characteristics may comprise an estimated bitrate required for transmission of the content segment over a network. The one or more encoding characteristics associated with the content segment may be inserted into a portion of an other content segment, such as into a header of the other content segment. The content segment and the other content segment may be configured for linear transmission, such as using adaptive bitrate streaming. When the other content segment is received at a playback device prior to the content segment, the playback device may use the one or more encoding characteristics of the content segment embedded in the header of the other content segment to determine one or more playback characteristics of the content segment.

  • Patent number: 12200232
Abstract: A second level intra prediction mode can be combined with one or more of sixty-seven JVET intra prediction modes during encoding of a coding unit in a video bitstream. Embodiments include making a position dependent intra prediction combination (PDPC) mode available as the second level intra prediction mode. In embodiments, when a PDPC (position dependent intra prediction combination) mode is enabled, the second level intra prediction is combined with one of the 67 selected intra predictor modes. In embodiments, the PDPC mode is only enabled or available for a predetermined subset of intra prediction modes (out of 67 possible modes), in order to reduce encoder complexity and potentially improve coding efficiency. The PDPC mode may be identifies as enabled or available by a list of modes or signaling in the video bitstream.
