Abstract: A memory device includes an alternating stack of insulating layers and electrically conductive layers located over a substrate, a memory opening vertically extending through the alternating stack, and a memory opening fill structure located in the memory opening. The memory opening fill structure includes a memory film and a vertical semiconductor channel. The memory film includes a tunneling dielectric layer, a charge storage layer that laterally surrounds the tunneling dielectric layer, a dielectric metal oxide blocking dielectric layer that laterally surrounds the charge storage layer and contacts the vertical semiconductor channel, and a silicon oxide blocking dielectric layer that laterally surrounds the dielectric metal oxide blocking dielectric layer and contacts the vertical semiconductor channel.
Abstract: A method is provided for causing a networking device to enter a power saving mode, determining whether or not a Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) telephony interface is in service after the causing the networking device to enter the power saving mode, the networking device including the VOIP telephony interface, the VOIP telephony interface communicatively connected to a VOIP provider, and rebooting the networking device when the VOIP telephony interface is determined not to be in service.
Abstract: An embodiment includes a combine having a header with a motor driving a blade for harvesting crop, a power receiving connector connected to the motor, where the power receiving connector supplies power to drive the motor, and a mechanical connector. The combine also includes a feeder housing with an opening for receiving the harvested crop from the header, a power supplying connector connected to a power plant of the combine, and a mechanical actuator. A controller controls the combine by attaching the header to the feeder housing by lifting the header such that the power receiving connector and the power supplying connector are automatically mated, and such that the mechanical actuator and the mechanical connector are mated, and controlling the power plant to generate and supply electrical power or hydraulic power to the power supply connector, which is supplied to the motor of the header via the power receiving connector.

Abstract: Methods, computer program products, computer systems, and the like are disclosed that provide for improved deduplication performance using prefetched backup information. For example, such methods, computer program products, and computer systems can include generating new feature information for a new backup image, (for each existing backup image in a plurality of existing backup images) comparing the new feature information with existing feature information for the each existing backup image, identifying one or more existing backup images of the plurality of existing backup images, and prefetching the one or more existing backup images. The feature information is generated as an output of a machine learning process. The machine learning process receives at least a portion of data of the new backup image as an input. The one or more existing backup images are identified based, at least in part, on a result of the comparing.
Abstract: A coupling system for use with a solar tracker includes a support rail defining a channel for receipt of a solar module therein, the support rail including an aperture defined therein that is in open communication with the channel and a clamp assembly selectively coupled to the support rail, a first portion of the clamp assembly configured to receive a portion of a torque tube therein and a second portion of the clamp assembly configured to selectively extend through the aperture of the support rail when the clamp assembly is transitioned from a first, unlocked position, to a second, locked position.
Abstract: Methods, devices, media, and systems are provided for presenting an accurate signal icon to a user equipment (UE). The UE first receives network downlink measurements from a network. The UE then measures downlink metrics and uplink metrics to assess multiple factors that may affect signals, and by extension, a user's experience. The UE then calculates a UE signal experience score based on the downlink metrics and the uplink metrics. The calculated UE signal experience score is then presented on the UE. The UE display may present the UE signal experience score as a number of bars, a presentations most users are already familiar with. Alternately, the UE signal experience score may be presented as a number from 0 to 100, with a user able to select which format the UE signal experience score is displayed in.
Abstract: A secure cartridge-based storage system includes a set of read/write control electronics on a shared controller adapted to removably couple with each of a plurality of storage cartridges. Data blocks within primary non-volatile memory of the cartridge-based storage system collectively comprise a main store with information-theoretic security. The shared controller incorporates various controls for providing selective data access to individual data magazines and/or cartridges as well as for partitioning user data and writing the partitioned data according to an information-theoretic security scheme and reading the partitioned data and reconstructing the user data from the partitioned data.

Abstract: In an illustrative integrated circuit, a chirp generator provides a chirp signal having linearly-ramped chirp intervals, while a shift frequency generator provides a signal having a different shift frequency during each of multiple segments in each chirp interval. A modulator combines the signals to derive a segmented chirp signal having multiple linearly-ramped chirp segments in each chirp interval. The modulator may be a single sideband modulator to provide frequency up-shifted and frequency down-shifted chirp segments. The segmented chirp signal may be suppressed during resettling intervals of the original chirp signal.

A power management component in a system may be configured to manage power use in the system based on measurements associated with a signal path used for communication by the system via a communication port, wherein the managing includes. Managing the power use may include determining, based on the measurements, connectivity related information associated with connectivity of the system via the communication port; applying, based on the connectivity related information, one or more power use reduction measures, wherein the one or more power use reduction measures include transitioning between different power related states; and monitoring one or more conditions to determine when to stop, undo, or reverse at least one of the one or more power use reduction measures.

Abstract: A braking system with redundant trailer communication is provided. In one embodiment, a braking control system for a tractor-trailer comprises a primary brake controller in a tractor configured to communicate with a trailer brake controller in a trailer via a first communication channel, and a redundant brake controller in the tractor configured to communicate with the trailer brake controller via a second communication channel. The primary brake controller is further configured to serve as a master brake controller for the trailer and communicate with an automated driving computer in the tractor. The redundant brake controller is further configured to take over as the master brake controller in response to determining that the primary brake controller can no longer serve as the master brake controller.

In some embodiments, the method comprises: identifying a multi-plane image, MPI, that represents a three-dimensional image, wherein the MPI comprises a plurality of fronto-parallel planes; splitting the MPI into a plurality of sub-volumes, wherein each sub-volume in the plurality of sub-volumes includes a subset of the plurality of fronto-parallel planes; calculating, for each sub-volume of the MPI, a depthmap; converting each depthmap to a mesh, wherein each mesh corresponds to a layer of a plurality of layers associated with a multi-depth image, MDI, to be rendered; calculating, for each layer of the plurality of layers, an image; and storing the meshes corresponding to the plurality of layers of the MDI and the images corresponding to the plurality of layers of the MDI as the MDI.
Abstract: Systems for processing material, taping stations to apply tape to one or more rolls of material, and methods of processing material are disclosed. A system for processing material includes a winding station and a taping station. The winding station includes a winder to wrap material around a mandrel to produce one or more rolls of material. The taping station is arranged downstream of the winding station to receive the one or more rolls of material therefrom and apply tape to the one or more rolls of material.
