  • Patent number: 12179232
Abstract: This invention provides a system and method for impregnating surfaces, which are typically porous and/or textile-based, with antiviral/antibacterial compounds in a manner that is robust, effective and straightforward. Such techniques can be employed during manufacture of the underlying item (e.g. PPE) and/or in the field. In an illustrative embodiment, a system and method for providing antiviral and antibacterial properties to a porous surface is provided. It includes a suspension consisting of a water-based solvent and an active ingredient consisting of at least one of a nanoparticulate metal and a chelated metal. The suspension is applied using an application process that immerses or sprays the suspension relative to the surface. Illustratively, the metal is at least one of silver, copper and titanium. Alternatively, or additionally, the metal can a chelated copper. The suspension can also include a salt component, such as sodium chloride. Additionally, the suspension can include a water repellant.

  • Patent number: 12179144
Abstract: A system provides oxygen enriched air to a wastewater treatment aeration system by utilizing a membrane unit coupled with a vacuum-generating device which applies a vacuum to the membrane unit thereby pulling out a flow of permeate having an enriched oxygen component. An aeration blower receives the flow of permeate and pressurizes it for delivery to the wastewater treatment aeration system. The membrane units may be in a variety of configurations, including a shell-less membrane. The membrane unit may also provide a stream of oxygen enriched air to a biogas fired power plant or other flue gas generator.

  • Patent number: 12182068
Abstract: Methods and systems are described for using files or data (e.g., cookies) stored in network storage (e.g., the cloud) in lieu of files or data stored locally. A request for a plurality of files can be received from a device. The request can comprise a device identifier and a user identifier. The user identifier can be used to determine an associated account. A format for the requested plurality of files can be determined based on the device identifier. In an aspect, the device can have limited/no local persistent storage. Prior to transmission, the requested plurality of files can be formatted according to the determined format. For example, a user can access an HTML application from a device with limited/no local persistent storage, such as a set-top box. The device can request a plurality of files, such as cookies, from persistent storage. The persistent storage can be cloud storage.

  • Patent number: 12182140
Abstract: An example system includes a processor to receive production log data and pre-process the production log data to generate an exploration data set. The production log data includes continuous updates of a ranking function associated with different actions for a same query issued by a same user in different impressions. The processor can perform offline estimation of online metrics for ranking functions using the exploration data set, evaluate a proposed ranking function by comparing the estimated online metrics to a set of baseline metrics of a baseline ranking function, detect that the proposed ranking function is a preferred ranking function having a higher detected metric score than the baseline ranking function based on a comparison of the estimated online metrics with the baseline metrics of the baseline ranking function, and execute an action on an information retrieval system based on the preferred ranking function.

  • Patent number: 12182640
Abstract: A computer network device (such as an access point, a switch or a router) that has multiple user interfaces is described. During operation, the computer network device may execute program instructions for the user interfaces and a shared messaging module, where a given user interface includes an agent corresponding to an application. When a message associated with the application is received via a user interface in the user interfaces, the corresponding agent in the user interface may extract a command or operation from the message. Then, the shared messaging module may translate the command or operation into a common format of the application. Moreover, the shared messaging module may provide (or route) the translated command or operation addressed to the application via a single communication path associated with the application and the agents for the application in the user interfaces.

  • Patent number: 12182269
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide for automatically generating patches for security violations. For example, a plurality of inputs may be generated for code. The code may be executed using the plurality of inputs to obtain execution states at a plurality of code locations. The execution states may include at least one security violation for at least some of the plurality of inputs. Using the execution states, one or more patch conditions causing the at least one security violation may be determined. Using the execution states, one or more corresponding patch locations may be determined based on a code location of the plurality of code locations where the at least one security violation each of the one or more patch conditions occurred. At least one candidate patch for the at least one security violation may be automatically generated. The at least one candidate patch may include one of the patch conditions and one of the corresponding patch locations.

  • Patent number: 12182390
Abstract: A touch sensor system includes touch sensors, drive-sense circuits (DSCs), memory, and a processing module. A DSC drives a first signal via a single line coupling to a touch sensor and simultaneously senses, when present, a second signal that is uniquely associated with a user. The DSC processes the first signal and/or the second signal to generate a digital signal that is representative of an electrical characteristic of the touch sensor. The processing module executes operational instructions (stored in the memory) to process the digital signal to detect interaction of the user with the touch sensor and to determine whether the interaction of the user with the touch sensor compares favorably with authorization. When not authorized, the processing module aborts execution of operation(s) associated with the interaction of the user with the touch sensor. Alternatively, when authorized, the processing module facilitates execution of the operation(s).
