Abstract: A peer-to-peer (P2P) distributed data management system (DDMS) may operate as an operating system on which P2P distributed applications are utilized to manage data on distributed ledgers, such as blockchains. The DDMS may enable fast development of secure and scalable enterprise P2P distributed applications that support permanent control of every piece of data on a distributed ledger, synchronization, normalization of the data, and encryption of the data. Security of the data in the distributed ledger means that even if someone hacks into the distributed ledger, access is only gained to one block of data (e.g., single email) and not all blocks of data (e.g., entire email account). The DDMS may be integrated into Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices. The DDMS further automatically supports sequential smart contracts on the distributed ledger.

The needle sensor assembly is configured to be attached to an injection device. When the needle sensor assembly is attached to the injection device, the needle sensor is configured to detect if a needle positioned for use in the injection device is misaligned, absent, or broken.
Abstract: A sprocket fits over a portion of or is fixedly coupled to a tarp shaft around which a trailer tarp is rolled. The sprocket includes a transverse bore for receiving an end of a crank rod, which is spring-biased to engage pins through the crank rod end with one of two sets of grooves in the sprocket surface surrounding the transverse bore. The crank can therefore be moved between a deployed position for use and a stowed position for travel. The opposite end of the sprocket includes projecting locking teeth for engaging with a locking mechanism preventing rotation of the sprocket and tarp shaft. Optionally, pawls may operate with the locking teeth to provide bidirectional ratcheting.

Abstract: Provided are techniques, devices and systems that enable updating of a reportable parameter table database when a reconfigured optical communication path is formed by switching performed by a branching unit in an undersea optical communication transmission system. A processor may obtain system attributes of each respective segment of a number of segments of the reconfigured optical communication path from a first end point to a second endpoint. The system attributes of each respective segment of the number of segments may be evaluated from the first end point to the second endpoint of the reconfigured optical communication path. A reportable parameter table may be generated based on the evaluated system attributes that includes a listing of operational and structural parameters of system from the first endpoint to the second endpoint of the reconfigured optical communication path.

Abstract: This information processing apparatus includes: a media reproduction unit that acquires and reproduces video data including a service object, for which a service that processes a request from a user through voice is available; and a controller that adds an additional image for informing the user about the service object to the reproduced video and saves identification information of the video data and information of a start time and an end time of the additional image, as a bookmark that is optionally selected by the user and is provided to a scene with the additional image.
Abstract: Disclosed is a system to provide information associated with a user device from a server to the user device without disclosing the association to the server. Data structures, created at the server, contain information such as information about restaurants, mechanics, medical conditions, etc. The server creates bundles including two or more data structures containing disparate information, and a unique identifier for each bundle. The server creates a table of contents indicating the unique identifier of a bundle and the information contained in the bundle and sends the table of contents to the device. The server receives the unique identifier of the bundle and provides the bundle having the unique identifier to the device. While the bundle contains the information associated with the user device, because the bundle contains disparate information. the server does not know which information is associated with the user device.

Abstract: A device may receive transaction data indicating that a transaction occurred. The transaction may be between a first user of a first device and a second user of a second device. The device may receive, from the first device, first sensor data indicating a first location recorded by a first sensor of the first device at a first point in time associated with the transaction; and receive, from the second device, second sensor data indicating a second location recorded by a second sensor of the second device at a second point in time associated with the transaction. Based on the transaction data, the first sensor data, and/or the second sensor data, the device may determine whether the transaction occurred and perform an action based on the determination of whether the transaction occurred.

Abstract: The present invention includes a novel procedure and corresponding medical devices for a Purcutaneous Spinal Interbody Fusion (PSIF). In PSIF, the surgeon performs the entire operation percutaneously without the use of a microscope, endoscope, or magnifying loupes. An adjustable retractor system is disclosed that enables the surgeon to percutaneously perform the surgery through accessing the facet joint (and later disc space) that was created by said retractor system. This retractor system provides the surgeon a safe area to work and operate without fear of damaging nerves, blood vessels, or other tissue. An expanding trial may be inserted into and removed from the disc space through the interior of the retractor system to determine the proper size for the expandable cage. The retractor system also enables the expandable cage to be inserted into the disc space.
Abstract: Methods and systems for tracking a game asset used in a video game includes generating a non-fungible token for the game asset used in the video game. Use of the game asset in the video game is monitored during gameplay to identify a qualifying event occurring in the video game in which the game asset is used. The NFT is updated using metadata associated with the qualifying event. The metadata is used to build legacy of the game asset and to track use of the digital asset in the video game.
