Publication number: 20100169123Abstract: A health monitoring and diagnostic device (LIFESTREAM cholesterol meter) configured as a self-contained testing and diagnostic unit in a clam-shell type case. One side of the case includes a spring-loaded finger stick and a compartment for carrying one or more packages of disposable items including a test strip, a needle for the finger stick, and an alcohol swipe. The other half of the case includes a test strip reader, a key pad, and a liquid crystal display. The meter reads a test strip carrying a droplet of blood and receives additional diagnostic information from the patient, such as age, gender, weight, and family history of heart disease. Within minutes, the meter displays test results, including total cholesterol levels. The meter also displays additional diagnostic results, such as the patient's “cardiac age,” recommended weight loss, and a cardiac risk assessment. The meter also works in connection with a network-based comprehensive health analysis and reporting system.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 8, 2010Publication date: July 1, 2010Applicant: Polymer Technology Systems, Inc.Inventors: Christopher T. Publication number: 20100169853Abstract: An improved method, system, user interface, and computer program product is disclosed for performing graphical analysis of coverage. According to some approaches, a graphical user interface uses treemaps to provide analysis of verification coverage. This allows the user to efficiently obtain the overall and/or complete picture of the coverage space, as well as the relative size of nodes in terms of number of coverage elements contained in them. Moreover, the present treemap approach provides relative comparison of coverage of the nodes and allows the user to identify whether there is any missing coverage, and if so, whether the missing coverage evenly balanced. This information is very useful for the decision made by the user regarding overall coverage and steps to be taken to improve the coverage.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 31, 2008Publication date: July 1, 2010Applicant: CADENCE DESIGN SYSTEMS, INC.Inventors: Anuja JAIN, Sandeep PAGEY, Yaron Peri-Glass

Publication number: 20100166137Abstract: A gantry has a cylindrical shape and rotates around a subject on a top panel about the body axis. An X-ray irradiating part is arranged inside the gantry and emits an X-ray. An X-ray detector is arranged at a position facing the X-ray irradiating part and detects the X-ray transmitted through the subject. PET detectors are arranged in two separate regions facing the rotation center and detect ?-rays emitted from the positron-emitting nuclides. A moving mechanism moves the top panel and the gantry relatively to each other. An X-ray CT image generator generates an X-ray CT image of the subject based on the result of detection by the X-ray detector. Publication number: 20100168941Abstract: The present invention is directed to the remote control of locomotives, and more particularly to various methods and apparatus employed in implementing systems for such remote control. Contemplated in the present invention are systems and methods for not only reliable remote-control communications, but also the use of repeaters and communications servers to assure reliable, centralized communication between locomotives and operator control units. In another embodiment, there is described a reliable distributed communication mode using an uncorrelated time sequence that does not interfere with a time division multiple access network. Differentiation between the centralized mode and the distributed mode is accomplished by assessing whether a locomotive and control unit is within a rail yard's infrastructure. Moreover, reliability is assured using a coordination server that dynamically routes packets between multiple satellite RCL repeaters based on received signal strength.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 9, 2009Publication date: July 1, 2010Applicant: Microwave Data Systems Inc.Inventors: John A.
