Abstract: A reciprocating linear motion mechanism for a can body maker includes: a housing including an internal gear; a first rotation body; a first bearing connecting the housing and the first rotation body; a convex part protruding toward one side of an axis direction in the axis direction; a second rotation body including an external gear meshing with the internal gear; a recess recessed toward onside in the axis direction from a surface facing the other side of the second rotation body in the axis direction and into which the convex part is inserted; a second bearing connecting the convex part and the recess; and a ram shaft connection part connected to the second rotation body and moved linearly in a reciprocating manner, wherein the internal gear, the external gear, the recess, the second bearing, and the convex part overlap each other.

Abstract: A multi-frequency sensing system for capacitive, presence-sensing technology incorporated into furniture is provided. Embodiments of the sensing system include at least one capacitive sensor coupled to a furniture item for monitoring an amount of change in capacitance with respect to at least one sensing element coupled to the furniture item. The system further includes a landscape analysis component having a plurality of frequency samplers, which generates an average capacitance change associated with the furniture item. Further, the average capacitance change may be used to determine whether the indication of average capacitance change satisfies a capacitance threshold of the furniture item.

Abstract: The guidance and positioning device may be a system for creating a passage in tissue, positioning fasteners or other implants, and tensioning an elongated fastening member, like a suture, thread, wire, or pin. In some embodiments, the device may allow for the implantation of multiple sutures and fasteners in tissue. A fastener may be positioned at the distal end of a flexible pushrod. The fastener may be connected with the pushrod or may be loosely fitted with the distal end of the pushrod. A suture may be looped through or connected with the fastener such that one, two, or more sections, legs, strands, or portions of the suture extend from the fastener.

Abstract: A compact recliner mechanism for use in theater seating units is provided that allows the seat to move linearly as the seating unit moves from the closed position to the reclined position. The mechanism has a back bracket coupled to the seat plate and base plate with a linkage that moves a projected point representing the top of the back of the seating unit downwardly in vertical plane as the seating unit moves from the closed position to the reclined position. In other aspects, the seating unit has an armrest linkage coupled between the seat plate and the back that maintains an armrest lever at a horizontal orientation. Additionally, in some aspects, the base plate of the seating unit may have an adjustment feature that limits recline of the seating unit, to accommodate theater seating with different riser dimensions, and/or legs with an adjustment feature to level the seating unit on existing theater floors.

Abstract: Provided is a can inner surface-coating apparatus with which inspection of bottomed cylinders can be favorably performed in parallel without being affected by the coating process. In the can inner surface-coating apparatus, inspection cameras to be used for inspection following coating of the inner surface of a bottomed cylinder that will become the body of a can or bottle-shaped can are disposed above spray devices that are used for coating the inner surface of bottomed cylinders. Moreover, the coating area including the spray devices and the inspection area including the inspection cameras are covered with a cover. By supplying air inside the cover from the upper part (air supply port) of the inspection area and discharging the air out of the cover from the lower part (coating mist collection duct) of the coating area, an air flow is formed from the upper part of the inspection area to the lower part of the coating area.

Abstract: An integrated device for water streaming and spraying comprises a support base, a water inlet pipe mounted on the support base, a nozzle including an outer tube mounted on the water inlet pipe and an inner tube, an adjustment sleeve making sealing contact with the outer tube, and a position adjustment mechanism capable of adjusting a position of the adjustment sleeve along front and rear directions. The inner tube provided with a plurality of guide vanes is disposed in and protruding from the outer tube. Abstract: A toy water gun for water streaming and spraying comprising a piston type water gun, a nozzle, an adjustment sleeve and a position adjustment mechanism. The water gun comprises a cylinder, a piston fitted in a cavity of the cylinder, a pump rod connected to the piston, a handle disposed on the pump rod, and a water duct mounted on and communicating with the cylinder. The nozzle is mounted on the water duct, rear and front ends of the nozzle are disposed with a water inlet and a water outlet respectively, and the water inlet communicates with the water duct. The first circuit may be configured to traverse a link list of connected components forming an object in an image being processed in a machine vision system. The link list may comprise object IDs and link pointers for each component of the object. The link pointers generally identify links between each component from a current leaf component to a root component of the object. Each of the connected components may comprise one or more pixels of the image belonging to the object. The second circuit may be configured to modify at least the link pointer associated with the current leaf component to point to the root component instead of a next component between the current leaf component and the root component by generating a control signal to control replacement of at least an object ID of a next connected leaf component in the link pointer of the current leaf component with the object ID of the root component.

Abstract: A seating unit is provided that is moveable between closed, extended and fully reclined positions. The seating unit comprises two sides spaced from one another and a seat extending between the two sides, an extendable ottoman and a chair back extending upwardly from a rearward edge of the seat. The seating unit further comprises a side plate adjacent each of the two sides and at least one support tube extending between the side plates. The seating unit has a linkage mechanism supported on the side plates and coupling at least the ottoman and the chair back. A motor is coupled to the linkage mechanism to move the seating unit between the closed, extended and fully reclined positions, wherein the motor extends above the at least one support tube.

Abstract: A mobile volumetric concrete mixing system includes a suction system that vacuums up trench spoils while a trench is being cut. These trench spoils are then screened on-site for particle size to be reused and mixed with water, cement, and/or other admixtures at an auger mixer to form a backfill mixture. This backfill mixture may then be loaded into a hopper that continuously agitates the mixture so that the mixture does not harden before pouring. The agitating hopper is coupled to a discharge chute of the auger mixer and includes one or more augers disposed at various orientations that the backfill mixture is channeled through. From the agitating hopper, the backfill mixture is channeled to an applicator that moves along the trench and that enables the mixture to be quickly poured into the trench with little clean-up required.

Abstract: An apparatus for upholstering a truss allows an operator to staple a fabric web to the truss, rotate the truss, further staple the semi-finished truss and cut the fabric web. The truss is fully upholstered after the end surfaces of the truss are wrapped up in fabric and the fabric stapled in place. The apparatus may accommodate different size trusses. A web of fabric is pulled around at least one roller in the apparatus by rotation of two vise mechanisms on opposite sides of the truss.

Abstract: A machine for backfilling pavement material into a trench defined within a pavement surface includes a frame defining a longitudinal axis and having at least one wheel. The frame being configured to move along the pavement surface. A hopper supported on the frame and including an inlet opening configured to receive pavement material and an outlet opening configured to discharge pavement material into the trench. The machine also includes a compactor supported on the frame and aligned with the hopper along the longitudinal axis. The compactor is configured to compact the discharged pavement material within the trench.

Abstract: A system for monitoring and evaluating the ventricular contractility of a heart muscle includes a device for electrically stimulating the heart muscle of a patient, and an extracorporeal blood pressure sensor. A record, responsive to stimulated ventricular contractions, is created by the pressure sensor. The response record is then evaluated to identify a pressure/time, rate-change in arterial pressure (dp/dt) that results within the time duration of a ventricular contraction in a cardiac cycle. In turn, dp/dt is evaluated as an indicator of ventricular contractility and the health of the patient's heart muscle.

Abstract: A fiber preform includes a substrate. A fiber bundle includes reinforcing fibers arranged on the substrate in a shape of a shoe sole and attached to the substrate by a plurality of stitches of the thermoplastic thread to form a first preform layer having a principal orientation. An orthotropic composite material shoe sole is also provided that includes the fiber preform with a cured molded resin surrounding the fiber preform, the cured molded resin having a shape of the shoe sole. A method of forming a fiber preform for use in a composite material shoe sole is also provided.
