  • Patent number: 11299895
Abstract: This method is suitable for the strengthening of concrete or timber structures by applying prestressed Carbon FRP or Glass FRP lamella. At least one groove is cut into the concrete or timber structure along the direction in which the concrete or timber structure is to be strengthened. The grooves are filled with epoxy resin and a layer of epoxy resin is put onto the entire section to be equipped with the CRFP or GFRP lamella. The lamella is prestressed and anchored at both ends. U-shaped brackets are then being put over the two end sections of the CFRP or GFRP lamella by inserting and submerging its both U-legs into holes filled with resin as well. These holding brackets are then tightly pressed onto the CFRP or GFRP lamella to prevent cracking or fracture of the concrete or timber and bending away of the extremities of the CFRP or GFRP lamella.

  • Patent number: 11266261
Abstract: A utility hook assembly is disclosed that conveniently secures to a planar surface such as the bottom of a counter or cabinet, and has a plurality of hooks that extend perpendicular to a mounting base. The base may be half of a hinge plate with a plurality of eyelets that are collinear at an edge of the hinge plate. The eyelets each receive one of two L-shaped rods with an upturned, outwardly formed tip that cooperate to serve as hooks such that the hooks can swing/pivot about the eyelets. The legs are separated by a metallic spacer that maintains the integrity of the rods. A magnet is mounted proximal to the hinge plate in a position that intersects the arc traveled by the spacer when the hooks are fully rotated parallel to the horizontal plane. The magnet captures the spacer, which in turn allows the hooks to be hidden when not in use.

  • Patent number: 11267053
Abstract: A coating for carbide substrates employs a nanostructured coating in conjunction with a non-nanostructured coating. The nanostructured coating is produced by the addition of a refining agent flow, particular hydrogen chloride gas, during deposition, and may be produced as multiple individual nanostructured layers varying functional materials in a series. The combination of a nanostructured coating and non-nanostructured coating is believed to produce a cutting tool insert that exhibits longer life. Pre-treating the substrate with a mixture of compressed air and abrasive medium prior to coating the substrate and post-treating the coated substrate with a mixture of water and abrasive medium after the coating process is believed to further enhance the wear resistance and usage life of the cutting tool.
