Abstract: This invention provides a signal processing apparatus capable of obtaining an output signal of sufficiently high quality if the phase of an input signal is largely different from the phase of a true voice. The signal processing apparatus includes a voice detector that receives a mixed signal including a voice and a signal other than the voice and obtains existence of the voice as a voice flag, a corrector that receives the mixed signal and the voice flag and obtains a corrected mixed signal generated by correcting the mixed signal in accordance with a state of the voice flag, and a shaper that receives the corrected mixed signal and shapes the corrected mixed signal.
Abstract: A patient positioning method constituted of: rotating a pelvis support member about a first axis; rotating the pelvis support member about a second axis, between a first position where the pelvis of a patient is supported by a first face of the pelvis support member and a second position where the pelvis of the patient is supported by a second face of the pelvis support member, the rotation being at least 180 degrees about the second rotation axis; and adjusting an angle between the pelvis support member and a torso support member between a first angle where the torso support member supports the torso of the patient when the pelvis is supported by the first face of the pelvis support member and a second angle where the torso support member supports the torso of the patient when the pelvis is supported by the second face of the pelvis support member.
Abstract: A pocketed spring assembly comprises a plurality of parallel strings of individually pocketed springs. Each string is joined to at least one adjacent string. Each string has first and second opposed plies of fabric and a plurality of pockets formed along a length of the string by transverse seams joining the plies. At least one spring is positioned in each of the pockets. The water permeable fabric used to make at least some strings comprises warp knit polyester fabric.
Abstract: Disclosed is a gas targeting system including a body, which has a frustoconical cavity; a cooling circuit including at least one channel which surrounds at least one portion of the cavity; a window, positioned facing an inlet of the cavity in order to close the cavity, including a fine sheet that is permeable to at least a portion of a beam of particles emitted by a particle accelerator and a support grid configured to support pressure differences between and inside of the cavity and an outside of the targeting system, with the fine sheet positioned between the support grid and the cavity; and a support flange which holds the window and is hermetically secured on the body, and which includes a mechanical attachment interface at the outlet of a particle accelerator.
Abstract: A method of treating particulate titanium dioxide includes providing the particulate titanium dioxide which includes a crystal structure and then treating the particulate titanium dioxide with a coating agent that is an alkylphosphonic acid or an ester thereof, and steam micronizing the particulate titanium dioxide with a steam micronizer so that a vapor exit temperature from the steam micronizer is 150° C. or higher, so as to obtain a micronized particulate titanium dioxide which includes the coating agent at an outer surface. The particulate titanium dioxide includes an aluminum oxide coating and/or includes within the crystal structure aluminum oxide in a molar excess of an amount required to compensate any Nb2O5 in the crystal structure. The alkylphosphonic acid includes a C6-C22 alkyl group.

Abstract: The present invention provides a high-power board-to-board floating connector that comprises a male header and a female socket. The male head comprises a first electrode, a first housing and a first insertion element. The female socket comprises a second electrode, a second housing, a floating member, and a second insertion element. The second housing combines with the floating member to form a connection part which can be slightly moved in one or more directions, so that the male head can be connected to the female socket in a permissible range, and then the first electrode is electrically connected to the second electrode.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for stabilizing a fractured bone. The method includes positioning an elongate rod in the medullary canal of the fractured bone and forming a passageway through the cortex of the bone. The passageway extends from the exterior surface of the bone to the medullary canal of the bone. The method also includes creating a bonding region on the elongate rod. The bonding region is generally aligned with the passageway of the cortex. Furthermore, the method includes positioning a fastener in the passageway of the cortex and on the bonding region of the elongate rod and thermally bonding the fastener to the bonding region of the elongate rod while the fastener is positioned in the passageway of the cortex.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a wet strength, fibre-containing substrate having adjustable wet strength and wetness strength, wherein the substrate comprises fibres, at least one binder, at least one amphoteric amine and at least one moistening agent, wherein the at least one binder comprises or consists of at least one polysaccharide having at least one acid group-containing residue, and wherein the at least 1 moistening agent comprises at least 1 organic component selected from the group consisting of aliphatic alcohols, aliphatic ethers, aliphatic esters, monosaccharides, oligosaccharides and mixtures thereof, preferably aliphatic alcohols, aliphatic ethers and mixtures thereof, and also, furthermore, to a method for producing the wet strength, fibre-containing substrate, and to use thereof.
Abstract: Embodiments may include an attachable fastener, which may include a bondable material that may be secured to the end of an end effector. Vibration may be tuned to occur at a distal end of the fastener. Accordingly, the fastener may be used to generate heat at a distal point of contact. If the contact surface contains bondable material, that material may be softened. If the fastener includes bondable material at the point of contact, that material may also be softened by heat produced by vibration at the contact area. A hard implant or another polymeric material may function as the anvil.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for a sound suppressor adapted to be operable with all manners of firearm, including autoloading firearms. In one example, a sound suppressor comprises a unitary single-piece body configured with centrally aligned baffle chambers circumferentially surrounded by exhaust gas chambers.
Abstract: A universal game call includes a barrel having an exhaust end and an intake end and a first inner diameter and the exhaust end and a second inner diameter at the intake end. The barrel is configured to connect to a plurality of calls and accessory pieces. The first call includes an insert end and a reed positioned within the insert end and configured to extend into the barrel when the call is joined to the exhaust end of the barrel. The second call includes an insert end and a mouthpiece end and a reed positioned within the mouthpiece end and extending away from the second call, exterior to the call and barrel. When the first call is connected to the barrel, a first animal sound is produced by forcing air through the barrel from its intake end. When the second call is connected to the barrel, the second animal sound is produced by forcing air through the reed.
