  • Patent number: 11930933
Abstract: An adjustable bed base has a subframe assembly including a subframe which may be inclined relative to a stationary frame by a primary linear actuator. An articulating deck is attached to the subframe. Secondary linear actuators articulate the deck. The subframe assembly is pivotally secured to a portion of the stationary frame. The subframe may be inclined by extending the primary linear actuator which moves ramps, causing wheels attached to the subframe to ride upwardly along the ramps, thereby raising the head end of the subframe relative to the stationary frame.

Abstract: A rain erosion test device includes an integrated double-wing blade and a drive assembly. The integrated double-wing blade is symmetrical around the center of the integrated double-wing blade, and rotatable around the center in the horizontal plane. A rain erosion sample mold fixing mechanism is provided on a leading edge adjacent to each of two ends of the integrated double-wing blade. The drive assembly is configured to drive the integrated double-wing blade to rotate. The blade of the rain erosion test device has simple machining and a low cost, and can still operate stably when a weight difference between two ends of the blade is up to 1 kg so as to achieve a high error-tolerant rate. The rain erosion test device can realize continuous test on rain erosion resistance of the coating at a speed of 207 m/s or more.

  • Patent number: 11926568
Abstract: Fast-setting flowable fill compositions for filling ground trenches are described. The compositions set quickly but retain a low strength psi at 28 days. The compositions also reduce bleed water on the surface of the fast-setting flowable fill and therefor enable quicker application of surface repair material, e.g., pavement patches, to the trench. The compositions consist of aggregate, Portland cement, accelerant, water and sometimes air. The compositions may have a compressive strength of between 5 psi and 60 psi after 2 hours, a compressive strength of between 10 psi and 100 psi after 4 hours, a compressive strength of between 75 psi and 500 psi after 28 days, a penetration resistance of between 1.5 tsf and 75 tsf after 2 hours, a penetration resistance of between 4.5 tsf and 200 tsf after 4 hours, and a shrinkage of less than 2% as measured by ASTM C490. Also disclosed are methods of filling a trench with fast-setting flowable fill.

  • Patent number: 11919091
Abstract: A coating for carbide substrates employs a nanostructured coating in conjunction with a non-nanostructured coating. The nanostructured coating is produced by the addition of a refining agent flow, particular hydrogen chloride gas, during deposition, and may be produced as multiple individual titanium and titanium-based nanostructured layers varying functional materials in a series. The combination of a nanostructured coating and non-nanostructured coating is believed to produce a cutting tool insert that exhibits longer life. Pre-treating the substrate with a mixture of compressed air and abrasive medium prior to coating the substrate and post-treating the coated substrate with a mixture of water and abrasive medium after the coating process is believed to further enhance the wear resistance and usage life of the cutting tool.
