  • Patent number: 12246805
Abstract: An offshore LNG processing plant includes a first module including a personnel accommodation facility on a first vessel, a second module including a gas treatment facility on a second vessel, and a third module including a gas liquefaction facility on a third vessel. Each of the first, second, and third modules are assembled on the corresponding vessels, and then transported to an offshore location in a body of water, such as a river, a lake, or a sea. At the offshore location, each vessel deploys legs to the bed of the body of water to raise a hull of each vessel out of the water. The first module is then coupled to the second module, and the second module is coupled to the third module. A fourth module on a fourth vessel is coupled to the third module to provide LNG storage.

  • Patent number: 11497899
Abstract: A balloon is provided for selectively moving an esophagus away from an ablation site. The balloon is received through an oral cavity and into the esophagus of a patient. A deflecting member is provided in the tube, the balloon, or both, so as to selectively distort to bend the balloon and/or the tube to move the esophagus away from the ablation site. The deflecting member may comprise at least one of a strip made of a shape memory material that is responsive to the receipt of a stimulus to deflect to a predetermined shape, a strip that is made of or contains a ferrous material and that deflects in response to the presence of a magnetic field, and a selectively tensionable cable, wire, or string. The deflecting member may be supplemented by a stiffening strip that is located in the balloon and that causes the balloon to expand circumferentially and asymmetrically when inflated.

  • Publication number: 20210244784
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition, and methods of using the composition, for minimizing the harmful effects associated with alcohol consumption. The composition includes a plurality of ingredients, which when combined, have the unexpected effect of increasing one or more metabolic pathways in the individual. As the metabolic rate is increased, alcohol is burned off, or utilized as energy source, and occurs at a considerably much faster rate than under normal physiological means. It is believed that the composition may have an effect on the brain causing it to increase metabolic rates, By administering the composition to an inebriated individual, the rate at which a person sobers up, occurs at a faster rate than would occur under normal physiological time frames.

  • Publication number: 20180133256
Abstract: In vitro and in vivo application of sub-atmospheric, negative pressure on growth factor starting material, such as whole blood, extracts growth factors from the platelet granules of the growth factor starting material in a non-destructive medium without activating the clotting process. The extracted growth factors are released into a growth factor composition containing blood plasma, extracellular fluid or interstitial fluid depending upon the type and location of the growth factor starting material. The growth factors have a weight of about 70-76 kDaltons and are applied in either a filtered or unfiltered state topically to the area of a surface wound to effect healing. The extracted growth factors are also injected into soft tissue, such as a torn tendon, to promote tissue growth and healing. The growth factors are released in one method from a patient's own blood. In another method the growth factors are released from a whole blood source and freeze dried by lyophilization.

  • Patent number: RE50170
Abstract: A device and method for cardiac pacing is disclosed in which anodal pacing of the left ventricle is provided. Anodal pacing occurs when an anodal surface area is sufficiently small to create an area of hyper-polarization of the myocardial cell membrane. This creates a virtual cathode at a location remote from the anode. The virtual cathode results in depolarization of the heart in a manner similar to the virtual cathode at the true fixed cathode. In addition a device and method for summation anodal pacing is provided in which one anode is common between two or more cathodes. This results in hyperpolarization of a larger segment of the myocardium as compared to non-summation anodal pacing and thereby forms a larger virtual electrode to enable capture of localized, discrete cardiac structures such as the bundle of His or the very proximal portions of the right and left bundles.
