Abstract: Apparatus for magnetically holding a shirt collar in a position and orientation on a shirt front, includes a collar stay attachable to a collar via adhesive or the like, or receivable in a pocket of the collar. The collar stay includes at least one magnet, or element of a magnetized material or a material attractable by a magnet. A magnet is positionable against an inside surface of the shirt front opposite the collar and is magnetically attachable to the collar stay through the shirt front, for holding the collar in a desired position and orientation. The stay can be a laminate or composite, and can be bendable or foldable into a desired shape.

Abstract: The invention relates generally to conveying systems, for moving work pieces from work station to work station including conveyors which generally move at a constant speed and include load carrying units which can be coupled for movement therewith between work stations and uncoupled from the conveyor so that they will be stationary at the work stations while work is done on a work piece carried by the load carrying units. More particularly, the present invention pertains to improved systems, methods, and apparatuses for providing locomotion and control to a conveyor system including surface-mounted drive system and adjustable, automatic take-up system with floating drive chassis. The present invention also pertains to elevated conveyor systems comprising many of the same components as the surface-mounted conveyor systems.

Abstract: A remedial composition comprising a soluble silicate, a surfactant, a polyol and water is disclosed. The remedial composition of the present invention is generally intended for use in the treatment of soil, sand, water, fly ash and other mediums that may contain hazardous materials. In one embodiment of the present invention the soluble silicate of the remedial composition has a mole ratio of about 2.6 to about 3.9 moles silicate per mole of alkali metal oxide. In another embodiment of the present invention the remedial composition will have a pH level ranging from about 10.5 to about 11.9. In another embodiment the water component further comprises from about 0.5% to about 15% dissolved oxygen (O2). In another embodiment of the present invention the remedial composition may be further diluted by adding water to create various solutions comprising about 1 to 300 parts water to 1 part remedial composition.

Abstract: According to various embodiments, turn signals are automatically activated in response to signals received from a navigation system, based on the navigation instructions generated by the navigation system. The navigation system of a vehicle (either built into the vehicle or provided as a stand-alone unit) is communicatively coupled with or otherwise integrated with the turn signals of the vehicle. When the navigation system instructs the driver to perform a maneuver (such as making a turn), it can also cause the appropriate turn signal to be automatically activated at the appropriate time and/or distance in advance of the maneuver. When the navigation system detects that the maneuver has been made, or that the driver has ignored the system's instructions, the turn signal can be automatically deactivated.

The composition includes a plurality of ingredients, which when combined, have the unexpected effect of increasing one or more metabolic pathways in the individual. It is believed that the composition may have an effect on the brain causing it to increase metabolic rates. The chamber receives growth factor starting material through an inlet in the reciprocating member. After the inlet is sealed, the reciprocating member increases the volume of the chamber to apply negative pressure to the growth factor starting material within the chamber to produce activated growth factors. The activated growth factors are extracted from the chamber through an outlet in the reciprocating member. Optionally, the growth factor starting material is held in the chamber to separate into fractions.

Distributed processing units (DPUs) receive member information about an EV or EV user. A power distribution manager (PDM) is coupled to each of the DPUs. The PDM includes a prioritizer. The prioritizer determines a prioritization for charging the EVs based on the member information received by each of the DPUs. A method includes providing clustered charge distribution and charge prioritization for electric vehicles. The method includes sensing whether power is requested by any one of a plurality of EVs within a cluster, generating individual EV-specific information for the EVs using the DPUs, transmitting the EV-specific information to the PDM, and selecting and applying a prioritization algorithm based at least in part on the transmitted information.
