Abstract: A communication device may have a set of web cookies designated for a specific location. When the communication device enters the specific location, the set of web cookies, which are designated for the specific location, may be used to customize a web page displayed at the communication device. When the communication device exits the specific location, the set of web cookies, which are designated for the specific location, may be inactivated. Different sets of web cookies may be designated for different locations. For example, a set of web cookies may be designated for home and another set of web cookies may be designated for work. The communication device may activate an appropriate set of web cookies based on the location of the communication device.

Abstract: A first mobile device is provided. The first mobile device includes at least one hardware processor and a first mobile device application, executed by the at least one hardware processor. The first mobile device application is configured to detect that the first mobile device is in physical contact with, or within a predetermined distance of, a second mobile device. The first mobile device is also configured to, in response to the detection, send a switch request to make a mobile phone line inactive for the first mobile device and active for the second mobile device.

Abstract: Computing systems and methods for facilitating mobile transactions are disclosed. An example method includes: detecting, via a hardware communication interface, a user check-in request based at least on a communication exchange between a user device and a signaling device at a location. The communication exchange corresponds to a proximity of the user device to the signaling device. The method further includes: determining a user identifier associated with the user device based at least on the user check-in request; and transmitting one or more promotional items to the user device based at least on the user identifier.

Abstract: An apparatus, system and method are provided for facilitating commerce. Audio information describing an item for purchase is received and analyzed to at least one corresponding item category related to the item for purchase. At least one selected from the group of a picture, audio data, and textual information of at least one item for sale associated with the identified at least one corresponding item category is transmitted to be provided for display to a buyer on a display of the device.

Abstract: A system performs operations that include determining match text data based on a comparison between input text data and an index of keywords and identifying a set of match word tokens from the match text data. The operations further include determining one or more solution sets of input word tokens based on comparing the set of match word tokens and the input text data. Additionally, the operations include calculating a respective solution set score for each of the one or more solution sets of input word tokens based on the calculated similarity values. A match between the input text data and the match text data is determined based on the first solution set score satisfying a score threshold.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to providing a service gateway between one or more applications hosted within a server system and one or more third-party services hosted by third-party systems. For example, a server system may provide a service gateway for a plurality of applications. The service gateway may provide the plurality of applications with access to third-party services hosted by third-party systems. Further, the service gateway may maintain, for a first one of these third-party services, a local copy of data, from a first dataset stored at the third-party system, in a local cache. In various embodiments, the service gateway may receive, from an application hosted by the server system, a request to perform a data-access operation via the first third-party service and, in response to detecting that the first third-party service has a limited level of service-availability, the service gateway may service the data-access operation using the local cache.

Abstract: A consumer at a POS is able to obtain instant credit from a third party payment provider by providing identification information, such as from a driver's license, through a sales associate at the POS and by providing directly the last four digits of the consumer's social security number (SSN). When the consumer wants to make subsequent purchases through the payment provider, the sales associate need only enter the consumer's last name, zip code, and date of birth for the payment provider to locate and retrieve the consumer's account. The consumer may then enter the last four digits of the consumer's social security number, such as into a PIN pad at the POS, and have the information processed by the payment provider.

Abstract: Methods and systems are presented for providing low latency dynamic content updates to applications, by separating presentable content from the programming logic of an application. The programming code associated with the application without at least a portion of the presentable content may be released to an application hosting server for distributing to end-users. The presentable content may be published to a content delivery network separate from the application hosting server. Once the application is downloaded to a user device, the application may retrieve the presentable content from the content delivery network. The application may incorporate the retrieved presentable content into the application such that the presentable content would be presented on the user device as intended when the application is accessed.

Abstract: Methods and systems for fictitious account generation on detection of account takeover conditions are described. A login attempt may be detected and determined to indicate fraud, such as when the login attempt is accompanied by many failed login attempts or is from an untrusted or known malicious endpoint. A fictitious account may be generated, which may include falsified account data and may limit account functionality to prevent unauthorized and fraudulent use of the account. The computing device that performs the login attempt may be routed and permitted to log in to the fictitious account, where the service provider or another computing entity may then monitor activity and usage of the fictitious account by the potentially malicious party. The fictitious account may be maintained so that other actors using the account may access the account and their activity also monitored.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, methods, devices, and the like for obtaining real-time estimates. In one embodiment, a novel customizable, transferable system architecture is presented that enables the characterization of a task, designated for time estimate, into steps or processes. The characterization may occur using the novel architecture which introduces an estimates service module that can provide an initial timing estimate by obtaining a composite time estimate of all steps. Timing of each of the steps can be predicted using a job scheduling enterprise designed to model the job or step. In another embodiment, delays are captured by time estimate monitors which can provide the alerts and delta time differences. Such alerts and time differences can be updated and presented to the user.

Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for parent level token issuance for asynchronous data processing based on device trust levels. Two devices may interact enough that they develop a trust rating between the two devices that the devices are trusted for transaction processing and resolution. In order to provide asynchronous transaction processing without requiring a token service provider or transaction processor, a parent level token may be issued to the devices by a token service provider based on the trust rating. The devices may receive child level tokens from the parent token, while the parent token is stored by the transaction processor. The child level tokens may allow the devices and transaction processor to trust the devices to process and resolve transaction processing without availing the token service provider for token issuance.

Abstract: A communication channel merging system detects that a first communication session that is provided via a first communication channel between a first user and a first service provider is concurrent with a second communication session that is provided via a second communication channel between the first user and a second service provider. The system then generates a user score based on information associated with the first and second communication sessions and determines that the user score satisfies a condition that causes the first and second communication sessions to be merged into a merged communication session. The system generates a first channel score for the first communication channel and a second channel score for the second communication channel and determines based on those channel scores that the first communication channel should provide the merged communication session. The system directs the merged communication session to be provided on the first communication channel.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein disclose a mobile device system for providing access to a subset of data within an application executed by the mobile device. During a first time period, when the mobile device is connected to a network, authentication information corresponding to a user account with a payment services provider is received. A biometric authentication signature and password are received in response to a request to enable access to a subset of data associated with the account. The subset of data is encrypted with a key generated from the biometric signature and password and stored. At a second time period, when the mobile device is disconnected from a network, the subset of data is decrypted using a key generated from an entered biometric signature and password.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing location-restricted message exchange include receiving, by a system provider device over a network from a sender device, a location-restricted message that includes sender message information and first location information that is associated with a first location. The system provider device then receives, over the network from a first receiver device, second location information that is associated with a second location. The system provider device then determines that the second location is in a limited geographic message exchange area with the first location and, in response, sends at least some of the sender message information by the system provider device over the network to the first receiver device. They system provider device may use filtering criteria provided by the first or second receiver device and use that filtering criteria to determine whether to send the sender message information to the first or second receiver device.

Abstract: A method and system create, on a portable electronic device, a real-time graphical view of an in-store product display that pinpoints the location of one or more target products on the product display. The graphical view is generated by capturing merchandise display data, such as a video feed of the in-store product display, and processing the data to detect the one or more target products based on predefined product recognition criteria uniquely associated with the respective target products.

Abstract: In response to detecting that a battery level of a first computing device is below a threshold level, a computer system determines that a second computing device is within a threshold distance of the first computing device. In response to the determining that the second computing device is within the threshold distance of the first computing device, the computer system creates a reference identifier (ID) and transmits information corresponding to the reference ID to the second computing device. In response to detecting a usage of the information corresponding to the reference ID by the second computing device, the computer system transmits a request for authentication information. In response to determining that authentication is successful, the computer system transmits a payment from an account associated with a user of the first computing device to an account associated with a recipient.

Abstract: A system performs operations that include receiving a database request to access, via a first connection in a connection pool, information stored in a database of the system. The first connection is associated with a physical connection layer and one or more logical connection layers. The physical connection layer points to a first network socket. Additionally, the operations include storing metadata associated with the one or more logical connection layers in a buffer. The operations further include responsive to determining that the first connection has been terminated and while maintaining the one or more logical layers, modifying the physical connection layer to point to a second network socket that is different from the first network socket. The operations also include subsequent to the modifying, processing the database request via the first connection based on the metadata stored in the buffer.

Abstract: A method for providing social network payments includes receiving a request to make a payment. The request is associated with a social network payer and a social network payee. It is determined that the social network payer is associated with a first payment provider identifier and an authorization token, and a second payment provider identifier for the social network payee is then retrieved using the authorization token. An instruction to make a payment from the social network payer to the social network payee is then transmitted to a payment service provider. The instruction includes a payment amount, the first payment provider identifier, and the second payment provider identifier. A payment alert is also adapted for a payee social network associated with the social network payee, and the payment alert is send to a social network provider device associated with the payee social network.

Abstract: An engagement by a user with respect to an interactive component is detected. The interactive component is embedded in a first display area of an electronic device. The first display area displays a plurality of fields of an online merchant checkout page. A second display area is launched in response to the detected engagement of the interactive component. The second display area contains information with respect to a payment provider. User input is received via the second display area. The user input contains information regarding an account that the user has with the payment provider. The user is authenticated based on the user input. User account information pertaining to the payment provider is accessed. At least a portion of the user account information is tokenized. At least one of the fields of the online merchant checkout page is automatically populated with the tokenized portion of the user account information.
