Abstract: A folding canopy chair includes a frame, a seat, a back, and arm rests. An umbrella is secured to the frame and is pivotal between an upright use position extending above the chair and a downward storage position adjacent the frame. The umbrella is pivotal about both a horizontal axis and a vertical axis for selective positioning of the umbrella relative to the chair, so as to shade a person sitting in the chair from the sun. The umbrella may be non-symmetrical, and removably mounted on either the left or right side of the chair.
Abstract: Organosilicon compounds are prepared by the addition reaction of a gaseous unsaturated hydrocarbon with a silane or siloxane containing at least one silicon-bonded hydrogen atom in the presence of a hydrosilylation catalyst in a liquid reaction medium. In this process the unsaturated hydrocarbon and optionally the silane or siloxane is dispersed into the liquid reaction medium by a jet eductor (also known as a venturi pump) device and the resultant gas-in-liquid dispersion is introduced into a bubble reactor.

Abstract: A light weight electrochromic dimmable mirror stack (300, 600) is presented that is composed only of solid-state layers (315, 615) with a total thickness of less than 50 micron and a reflector (310, 610). Normally such a kind of layered device suffers from iridescence due to interference of light waves reflecting at the interfaces between the layers of the electrochromic device. The solution provided by the invention is to pattern at least one of the layers (315, 615) in the device such that the interference effects are smeared out and a more neutral color is obtained. Various possible configurations are described and also the method to produce such a device.
Abstract: A cup bearing includes a cylindrical component having first and second axial ends and defining a lumen therethrough. The cylindrical component includes first and second end portions proximal to the first and second axial ends, respectively. The cylindrical component includes a corrugated portion disposed axially between the first and second end portions. The corrugated portion includes a plurality of corrugations extending radially inwardly. A corrugation of the plurality of corrugations includes a ridge defining a first inner radius of the lumen. The cup bearing further includes a first radial stop associated with the first end portion. The first radial stop defines a second inner radius greater than the first inner radius. The cup bearing also includes an end cap coupled to the second axial end of the cylindrical component.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for creating a photoluminescent object that is fabricated by applying to a preformed article, at least one photoluminescent formulation to result in a photoluminescent layer. The at least one photoluminescent formulation comprises at least an effective amount of at least one phosphorescent material and another effective amount of a fluorescent material.
Abstract: The invention relates to novel polycarbonate- and/or polyurethane-polyorganosiloxane compounds, processes for their preparation, their use, precursors for their preparation and reactive compositions which contain the precursors.

Abstract: A belt drive pulley system termed a “flip drive” is configured to provide at least two belt drive pulleys that are co-axially and integrally arranged and share common axle/bearing and mounting components. By being co-axially disposed, the belt drive pulleys will operate in separate and distinct planes. The flip drive is adapted for use in various applications so that power received on its first pulley from a first belt drive is transferred from its second pulley to a second belt drive (where the first and second belt drives are not co-planar).
Abstract: A multilayer film includes a substrate film having first and second major surfaces and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer disposed on the first major surface of the substrate film. The pressure sensitive adhesive layer includes a curable composition. The multilayer film further includes a release layer disposed on the pressure sensitive adhesive layer opposite the substrate film. The release layer includes a release material and a catalyst to cure the curable composition.
Abstract: An improved lens with Rugate filter specifically designed to be worn in prescription and non-prescription glasses, contact lenses, intraocular lenses and sunglasses, and to provide protection against macular degeneration by reducing harmful visible blue light transmission and ocular photochemical damage. The lens at least includes a single lens layer with a Rugate filter deposited thereon to selectively block visible blue light. Other layers may be added including a polarizing layer, dielectric layer and/or color tint in a lens sandwich configuration, to additionally give a high degree of UVA and UVB protection, color contrast, and glare reduction. The Rugate filter is a stop band which yields an exceptional light transmission profile under all light conditions, thereby maximizing protection as well as clarity of vision.
Abstract: A thermal interface material is constructed from a base matrix comprising a polymer and 5 to 90 wt. % of boron nitride filler having a platelet structure, wherein the platelet structure of the boron nitride particles are substantially aligned for the thermal interface material to have a bulk thermal conductivity of at least 1 W/mK.
