Abstract: A vehicle (e.g., an ATV/UTV) comprising a body, at least two wheels supporting the body, a power source providing torque to at least one of the wheels, a torque control system for controlling the torque provided to the wheels. The torque control system has a plurality of slip modes, including a low-slip mode and a high-slip mode. A mode selector is provided for selecting one of the plurality of slip modes, and the torque control system defaults to the low-slip mode on vehicle start up. Preferably, the torque control system further includes a medium-slip mode. In another aspect, the vehicle has a continuously-variable transmission including a drive member and a driven member, and a torque control system for controlling the torque provided to the wheels. The torque control system is programmed to calculate an estimated primary torque factor and an estimated secondary torque factor for modifying as base engine torque.
Abstract: A crank arm for a bicycle may include a body extending along a body axis and having a first body end and a second body end axially spaced apart from the first body end. The insert may also include an insert provided toward the first body end. The insert may include a base portion having a radially outer surface. At least one extension may extend outwardly from the radially outer surface and may be encased within a corresponding recess in the body whereby relative planar movement between the body and the at least one extension in a first plane. The retaining portion may have a retaining portion width measured in the first direction and the retaining width may be greater than the throat width thereby inhibiting relative radial movement between the at least one extension and the recess and preventing radial extraction of the extension from the corresponding recess.
Abstract: A hydraulic brake actuator adapted to be mounted on a vehicle handlebar and hydraulically coupled to a brake mechanism. The brake actuator includes a brake base adapted to be secured to the handlebar, and a reservoir adapted to be coupled to the brake base and containing brake fluid, the reservoir having a bottom surface. The hydraulic brake actuator further includes a piston-cylinder assembly coupled to the reservoir, a brake lever movable relative to the brake base between a released position and an actuated position, and a locking pawl positioned to limit movement between the brake lever and the piston-cylinder assembly, the locking pawl being at least partially positioned directly below the bottom surface of the reservoir.
Abstract: A vehicle comprising a frame, a seat coupled to the frame, and left and right wheels. Left and right drive shafts transmit power to the left and right wheels, and an input shaft transmits power to the left and right drive shafts. A differential including a housing assembly receives power from the input shaft and divides the power between the left and right drive shafts. A speed sensor is positioned through (e.g., threaded) the housing assembly such that an inner end of the sensor is positioned inside the differential. In one embodiment, the speed sensor includes left and right speed sensors, and the at least two housings comprise a left housing and a right housing. Preferably, both the left speed sensor and the right speed sensor are positioned in one of the left housing and the right housing.

Abstract: A sliding caliper parking brake that positively retracts of both the outer and the inner brake pads upon de-actuation of the parking brake is provided. The parking brake includes a caliper body, a mounting assembly that slidably mounts the caliper body on the suspension of the vehicle so that is movable with respect to a brake rotor, and at least one piston assembly movably mounted in a bore in the caliper body and having an end connected to an inner brake pad. An outer brake pad is fixedly connected to the caliper body and is moved into engagement with an outer side of the brake rotor when the caliper body is moved along the mounting assembly as a result of the inner brake pad extending into engagement with the inner side of the brake rotor.

The bike carrier includes a first adjustable member that is adjustable to a plurality of positions and a second member that is pivotally secured to the first member.
