Abstract: An electric vehicle including side impact battery pack protection mechanism for reducing damage to a battery pack in the event of a side impact, the electric vehicle including a vehicle frame, a battery pack, and one or more side impact battery pack protection brackets configured to at least of enable the vehicle battery pack to shift along a vehicle width direction or enable physical separation of the battery pack from the vehicle frame.
Abstract: An exercise rack pulley system for providing a wide range of versatile arrangements of pulleys on an exercise rack. An example embodiment generally includes an exercise rack including one or more support members and arm members. One or more pulley units may be attached to one or more support members and/or arm members of the exercise rack. Each of the pulley units includes a bracket for attaching to the exercise rack and a frame for supporting a rotatable pulley. The frame is adjustably connected with the bracket such that each pulley unit may be adjusted between at least two positions, including a first position in which the frame is parallel with the bracket and a second position in which the frame is perpendicular with the bracket. A cable is routed through the pulley units and connected to a weight to accommodate a wide range of different types of exercises.

Abstract: The technology disclosed here involves classifying activity data based on inactivity types. An example method involves receiving, by a processor, activity data of one or more sensors, the activity data comprising a plurality of sensor measurements associated with multiple parameters monitored during an activity session of a user; retrieving a set of criteria that comprises thresholds to detect a plurality of inactivity types, wherein the set comprises a criterion related to a physical activity; classifying, by the processor based on the set of criteria, the received activity data of the one or more sensors into one or more segments, wherein the one or more segments comprise a segment comprising a portion of the activity data corresponding to an inactivity type of the plurality of inactivity types; and generating output based on the classifying.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus are described which can safely reduce a laboratory fume hood's minimum airflow and energy consumption when it is determined that the fume hood is not in active use, based on a condition monitoring approach. The condition monitoring approach may incorporate a combination of setback criteria to reliably determine if the fume hood is or is not in use. When a determination has been made that a fume hood is not in use, energy reduction is achieved via automatic methods of hood minimum airflow setback. Fume hood minimum flow reductions are automatically disabled when it is determined that the hood is in active use.
Abstract: A system for storing pharmaceuticals or biological media comprising a bag including a flexible sidewall defining an opening; and a vent coupled with the flexible sidewall at the opening and defining a vent passageway between an internal volume of the bag and an external environment, wherein the vent is coupled with the bag at a location spaced apart from and above the opening.
Abstract: A retractable wall mounted weightlifting bench system for that is extended outwardly from the wall when in use and retracted towards the wall when not in use. The retractable wall mounted weightlifting bench system generally includes a mounting bracket adapted to be attached to a wall, a bench pivotally connected to the mounting bracket that has an extended position and a retracted position, a first support member pivotally attached to the bench and a second support member pivotally attached to the bench. The first surface of the bench is horizontal or inclined when in the extended position to be used as a weightlifting bench. The first surface of the bench is in a substantially vertical position when in the retracted position for compact storage of the bench near the wall.
Abstract: There is provided herein a silylated polyurethane composition, a process of preparing a silylated polyurethane polymer, and an adhesive, sealant or coating containing a silylated polyurethane made therewith.
Abstract: An assembly including an outer member; an inner member; and a tolerance ring disposed between the inner member and the outer member, wherein the tolerance ring is a split ring comprising opposing edges, where the edges engaged with at one of the inner member or the outer member so as to prevent or restrict movement between the tolerance ring and at least one of the inner member or the outer member, or where the tolerance ring is deformed as installed between the inner member and the outer member and forms at least one buckled region in the tolerance ring due to an interference fit between the inner member and the outer member, where in an uninstalled state, the buckled region is absent.
Abstract: A nonwoven carrier material including at least a first part and a second part whereby the first and the second part including at least two layers of thermoplastic fibers. The first part and the second part are connected with each other in a connecting area to form the nonwoven carrier material whiteout thickness and weight variations in the connecting area. Further, a method for connecting a first and a second part of a nonwoven carrier material to form a connected nonwoven carrier material.
Abstract: A method of removing organic carbon and other contaminants from a water stream. The method comprises screening large solids from the stream. Pre-oxidation chemicals may then be added. A coagulant is fed into the stream. An activated carbon, preferably formed from lignite, is added by pumping a highly concentrated activated carbon slurry into the stream. The stream, including the activated carbon and coagulant, next flows into a clarifier, where the coagulant will flocculate and enmesh the activated carbon. The activated carbon adsorbs organic carbon and other contaminants, including bacteria, pharmacological agents, and hydrocarbons, as the stream flows through the clarifier. Eventually, the flocculate will agglomerate and settle out in the clarifier, where it, the enmeshed carbon, and the contaminants they contain may be removed. The stream's organic carbon content exiting the clarifier will be much reduced. Accordingly, less primary oxidizing agent will be needed to treat any remaining organic carbon.
