Input mechanisms applicable to various embodiments may include, for example, control sticks (e.g., joysticks or analog sticks operable by a user's finger, such as a thumbstick), buttons, switches, and directional pads. The gaming peripheral may include a designated input mechanism that, when engaged, reconfigures the gaming peripheral into a second mode causing at least one of the plurality of input mechanisms, when actuated, to adjust audio attributes of the video game without interrupting play of the video game.

    Abstract: A gaming headset can include a headband that fits over a user's head and a pair of ear cup assemblies coupled to the headband. Each of the ear cup assemblies can include a housing having one or more magnets and an ear pad having one or more magnets that have an opposite polarity than the magnets in the housing, the ear pad pivotally coupled to the housing alone one side of the ear cup assembly by a hinge. The ear pad can pivot between a closed position and an open position relative to the housing. In the closed position, the magnets in the ear pad and the housing exert an attractive force therebetween to retain the ear pad in contact with the housing. In the open position, the ear pad is inclined away from the housing to overcome the attractive force and define a gap on an opposite side of the ear cup assembly from the hinge to vent a space between the ear pad and the housing.

A top shaft assembly is removably coupleable to the base shaft. The top shaft assembly includes a top shaft with a proximal end that removably couples to a joystick ball. The top shaft assembly also includes a collar that is spring loaded and movably coupled to the top shaft and has a flange that extends outward from the outer surface of the collar. The top shaft assembly removably couples to the base shaft via a quick disconnect assembly. When the top shaft assembly is disconnected from the base shaft, the flange of the collar engages and retains a dust cover disposed over the collar to inhibit misplacement or loss of the dust cover.

    Abstract: A system and method for braking a flat-towed vehicle based upon a braking pressure of a braking fluid in a braking circuit in the towing vehicle, the method includes measuring a piezoresistor voltage drop across a piezoresistor positioned within the braking circuit such that the piezoresistor voltage drop changes in response to the braking pressure within the braking circuit. Based upon the measured piezoresistor voltage drop, a motor frame duration is retrieved. A clutch engages the motor output shaft to initiate a clutch frame. Upon expiration of a programmed clutch delay, a motor frame initiates by supplying power to a motor. Upon expiration of the motor frame duration, power to the motor is interrupted. The clutch continues to be engaged for the duration of the clutch frame. The clutch releases allowing a capstan attached to the clutch to spin freely relative to the motor output shaft.
