Abstract: A support frame assembly configured to strengthen an upper frame portion of a frame of a vehicle, comprising a first frame member having a first end and a second end, and a second frame member having a first end and a second end, wherein both the first ends of the first and second frame members are configured to couple to a front half of the frame and the second ends of the first and second frame members are configured to couple to the front half of the frame to strengthen the upper frame portion, at least one of the first and second ends of each of the first and second frame members including at least one mechanically coupled joint configured for coupling each of the first and second frame members to the front half of the frame.

Abstract: A programming device includes an application for programming vehicle function settings of a vehicle. The programming device has a transmitter that communicates the vehicle function settings through a vehicle receiver to a vehicle controller. The vehicle function settings cause the controller to operate the vehicle when a device identifier is received from a moveable device associated with a vehicle user.

Abstract: The enclosed disclosure relates to a configuration of an electric vehicle. The embodiments described within provide improvements in the way of packaging associated batteries, motors, transmissions, controllers, and associated components. In the described embodiment enclosed, a vehicle comprises a frame supported by a plurality of ground engaging members, and the frame is configured to support a plurality of seats. The vehicle includes a powertrain comprising a battery supported by the frame and the battery is under at least partially under at least one of the seats. The powertrain also includes a motor supported by the frame and a propeller shaft extends from a position rearward of the battery to a position forward of the battery. The propeller shaft extends along a portion of the vehicle centerline, and when viewed from a side perspective view, the propeller shaft laterally overlaps at least a portion of the battery.

Abstract: A utility vehicle includes an exhaust assembly fluidly coupled to an engine. Depending on various parameters, such as the size and/or performance of the vehicle, the exhaust assembly is required to meet certain emissions regulations. Such emissions regulations may be met by increasing the temperature within the exhaust assembly, however, at particularly high temperatures, a catalyst of the exhaust assembly may be damaged. Therefore, the exhaust assembly includes various options for cooling portions thereof to remove heat from the assembly.

The radio tag may include vehicle identification information, such that a computing device may be directed to a website based on the vehicle identification information accordingly. For example, a user may be presented with a vehicle-specific website having information associated with the vehicle. As another example, the vehicle identification information may be obtained from the radio tag and used to access additional information associated with the vehicle and/or generate a service record for servicing the vehicle. An accessory may include a similar radio tag, which may be scanned to access manuals or tutorials associated with the accessory. The accessory radio tag may be used in combination with a vehicle radio tag to associate the accessory with the vehicle. In another example, an accessory radio tag may be used to register a warranty of the accessory.

Abstract: A method for providing an enhanced estimate of reference barometric pressure. The method uses multiple, dissimilar pressure references, such as in airport weather stations, personal weather stations, and wireless terminals such as smartphones, in order to provide the enhanced estimate of reference barometric pressure. The method generates an enhanced estimate of reference barometric pressure based on a first estimate of reference barometric pressure from a first pressure reference network made up of airport weather stations, for example. The method also uses a second estimate of reference barometric pressure from a second pressure reference network made of up personal weather stations, for example, and a third estimate of reference barometric pressure, also from the second network. The first, second, and third estimates of reference barometric pressure are combined such that both measurement accuracy and timeliness are improved in the resulting, enhanced estimate.
