Abstract: In a method and system for setting toner concentration of a toner particle-carrier particle mixture in a developer station for development of a latent charge image on a carrier, a sensor is arranged in the developer station measuring the toner concentration. Toner feed in the developer station is adjusted. A current consumption value is determined for toner particles. From the toner concentration measured with the sensor and from the toner consumption value, a toner concentration is calculated at a location in the developer station at which the toner is extracted. A calculated toner concentration at the toner extraction location is input as a control variable used to adjust toner feed so that the calculated toner concentration approaches a desired value.

A cleaning station cleans off residual toner on the light-sensitive medium that is not transfer-printed. A cleaning device mechanically loosens residual toner from the transport band.
Abstract: In an electrophotographic printer or copier, toner images of images to be printed onto a printing substrate are generated and fixed, causing sliding characteristics to be worsened. In order to remedy this problem, a moistening device is provided that applies on the printing substrate a moistening agent made from a moistening fluid and a lubricant dissolved therein. Two problems are thus solved: the printing substrate is moistened and simultaneously lubricated.

Abstract: In a method for generating an IPDS data stream, different levels are defined with level numbers, whereby in each level a group of print data is combined on which the same operation is implemented. The operations are defined by operation numbers. A linkage exists between the level numbers and the operation numbers such that an operation number can be unambiguously assigned to a level number so that it can be determined using the linkage which level is provided for which operation. Abstract: A method, system and computer program provides for making an image area correction in a printing system. Print data is provided in a logical page order corresponding to at least one signature for printing. At least one parameter of a recording medium on which the print data are printed is determined, this parameter being relevant to the position of the printing format on the recording medium, which is folded according to the signature. Abstract: In a method and system for transport of toner material, a reservoir arrangement containing the toner material is provided with a removal opening for removal of the toner material.
