Abstract: In a method or system for loading of program data for a graphical user interface for operation or for diagnosis of a printer or copier, first data are stored in a first storage region of a first data processing unit. The first data are transferred from the first data processing unit to a second data processing unit of an operating unit, the first data containing at least specifications about at least one program module necessary for generation of operation or diagnosis functions. With help of the second data processing unit, it is checked whether second data that contain the program module are contained in the second storage region of the second data processing unit. • Patent number: 7672010
Abstract: In a method and system for generating document templates for print jobs, in which a document template is generated in a generation unit using static resource data that are combined into addressable data sets. The document template is registered in a resource administration unit. The resource administration unit generates a resource list in which the resource data sets used by the document template are listed. Using the resource list, the resource administration unit controls a transfer of the used resource data sets to a data processing device in which the document template is supplemented with variable data, whereby the resource administration unit in turn can be controlled via a superordinate program.

  • Patent number: 7650838
Abstract: In a method or device for control of a printer or copier, a series of discrete signal states is generated with which a drive unit for conveyance of a carrier material to be printed is controlled. A control signal is generated to end the conveyance of the carrier material. Based on the control signal, the generated series of the discrete signal states is changed at an earliest with a changed signal state following the control signal. A positioning error of the carrier material is caused due to a time period between the control signal and the changed signal state is detected.

  • Patent number: 7643775
Abstract: In a method for control of circulation speed of an endless belt arranged in a printer or copier, the endless belt is directed over at least two rollers where the belt is driven with a preset first circulation speed via at least one of the rollers as a driven roller. Various load states act on the endless belt in successive operating phases during a printing or copying process, and via said various load states the belt being braked with different strengths so that a slippage is generated at least between the belt and the driven roller. A braking force acting directly on the endless belt is generated. Braking force is controlled such that a substantially constant slippage is generated between the driven roller and the belt based on the operating phases so that the endless belt is braked to a second circulation speed.

  • Patent number: 7636534
Abstract: In a method and system for printing, individual pages of a print medium are transported. With a printing unit, a side of the respective individual page facing it is printed and the applied toner image is fixed. With an inverter, the individual pages with the fixed toner image are inverted after the first printing event and resupplied to the printing unit for printing on an other side. The printing unit has first and second printing groups respectively comprising first and second exposure units, first and second charge corona devices, and first and second developer stations. Individual pages are supplied in succession to both of the first and second printing groups, and the printing groups respectively print two varicolored print images on the same side of the same individual page.

Abstract: In a method or device for guiding an endless web, the endless web is guided via a first positionable roll to an additional positionable roll with a predetermined angle of wrap on each roll, shafts of the rolls lying parallel to one another in a plane and being held by a frame. The web is fed to and led away from the positionable rolls via a respective first stationary roll and a respective additional stationary roll. The frame is pivoted relative to the stationary rolls about a first axis of rotation substantially perpendicular to the plane in order to modify a position of an edge of the web in a direction of the positionable roll shafts. The frame is pivoted relative to the stationary rolls about a second axis of rotation one component of which runs parallel to a movement direction of the web between the positionable rolls.

  • Patent number: 7561832
Abstract: In a method and device to separate toner material and air from a toner material-air mixture, and first operating phase at toner material-air mixture is supplied to a filter so that air flows through the filter in a first direction. In a second operating phase, the flow of air through the filter in a first direction is interrupted such that toner material deposited on the filter is loosened. In a second operating phase, air flows through the filter in a direction approximately opposite to the first direction. Also in a method device for dosing toner material in an electrophotographic printer or copier, toner material is introduced into at least one bucket chamber rotatably arranged in an opening at a bottom of a toner reservoir. The bucket chamber has a paddle wheel which seals the opening of the toner reservoir. As the paddlewheel rotates, toner material in the bucket chamber is conveyed into a region.
