Abstract: In a method and system for processing document data in a document processing system, document data are generated on a document generation computer. Document data are transmitted from the document generation computer to a document processing computer. Processed data are forwarded to a document output system. To optimize control of document output, in the processing computer control data are added to or removed from transmitted document data. A control buffer file for the added control data and a document buffer file for the document data are automatically formed and stored by a control device program running on the processing computer. The output system is monitored with the control data by a monitoring computer.
Abstract: In a method or system where inking in an electrophotographic printer or copier, a magnetic roller is provided having a rotatable magnetic roller sleeve having a circumferential surface to which a two-component mixture comprising toner particles and ferro-magnetic carrier particles adheres. An applicator element has a circumferential surface to be inked with toner particles and past which the two-component mixture adhering to the circumferential surface of the magnetic roller is guided to produce a toner layer on the applicator element. The magnetic roller has a magnetic rotor which comprises magnetic elements and arranged inside the magnetic roller sleeve. A magnetic rotor and the magnetic roller sleeve are moveable relative to one another.
Abstract: In a method to adjust the toner supply to a minimum value in a developer station of an electrographic printing or copying device in which charge images are generated on an intermediate carrier, the charge images being inked with toner at the developer station, a toner concentration is measured in the developer station via a toner marking applied on the intermediate carrier and inked with toner at the developer station. A measurement signal is generated. Dependent on the measurement signal, a supply of the toner to the developer station is regulated. The supply of the toner to the developer station is increased independent of the measured toner concentration upon an under-run of a minimum value of the toner supply per unit time into the developer station so that the transfer of the toner from the developer station to the intermediate carrier is increased.
Abstract: A method is provided for controlling a printer or copier device by which errors, such as paper jams, can be cleared automatically. A controller commands a module having the error to clear the error automatically. The commands are sent to modules beginning at the output of the printer or copier device and moving in a reverse direction to the paper flow direction of the printer or copier so as to automatically clear errors such as paper jams. Status signals indicating whether the error has successfully been cleared are reported back to the controller. A printer or copier for carrying out the method and a computer program for carrying out the method are also disclosed.

A print data network connection is provided for incoming print data or copy data to be rastered. A print data network connection is provided for incoming print data or copy data to be rastered. At least one of the system computers is designed as a service connection computer. A maintenance computer is connected to a maintenance data connection on the service connection computer. Control programs are loaded from the maintenance computer onto the service connection computer via a network connection.

Abstract: In a method and a system for generation of print images on a carrier material, an actual speed difference is generated in a transfer printing region between an image carrier and the carrier material. A deviation of the actual speed difference from a desired speed difference is determined with aid of a measurement arrangement.
Abstract: In a method and system for storage and retrieval of print data, print data of a print job are transferred in blocks from a data source to at least two of a plurality of print servers connected with one another via a network. Control data regarding respective print data are transmitted to the print servers and are registered and stored in the network. Control data are registered by a central control module of the network and further processing of the print job is allocated by the central control module to an allocated print server so that the allocated print server receives the control data. Using the control data, the respectively allocated print server reads the print data in blocks from the respectively associated print server, processes and/or buffers them as needed, and forwards them to a processing device.
Abstract: A cleaning unit is provided for cleaning of a transport belt for transport of recording media in a electrographic printer or copying device. An abration element is positioned to avoid toner located on the transport belt. A toner capture reservoir captures abraded toner.

Abstract: In an electrographic printing device, an image generating system generates an electrical charge image on an image carrier element. The electronic charge image is made visible by a developer station via charged ink particles, the image being subsequently transferred onto a final image medium and fixed thereon. A speed control is provided which: continuously varies speed of the image carrier element from zero up to a limit speed; adapts charge intensity of the image carrier element to its speed; adapts an exposure intensity for exposure according to the image and in a deletion exposure of the image carrier element to its speed; and keeps a supply of toner to the image carrier element constant per area.

The printer or copier also has at least one fixing unit that fixes the toner image on the carrier material with aid of a heat generated by the fixing unit. The printer or copier also has a refrigerator to which is supplied at least a part of the heat generated in the fixing unit. The refrigerator uses at least a part of the supplied heat for generation of cold.
Abstract: In a method, a document output system, and a computer program for preparation of a resource-based document data stream for output on an output device, the document data stream is transferred from a first computer to a second computer. The document data stream comprises document data that are associated with an output font. In the course of the document data stream preparation, the output font is converted into a target font, and the conversion is controlled by at least one font conversion table that is stored in a resource file.
Abstract: A transfer printing station is provided with a transfer roller for transfer of a toner image generated on an intermediate carrier onto at least one recording medium in a transfer printing region of the transfer printing station. Abstract: A method and a device for accessing data wherein the data is sequentially stored as data objects. The data objects are identified by a control variable having consecutive integer values. The control variable and the memory address is determined of a first known data object and an estimate for the size of a data object is determined therefrom. The control variable of the requested data object is multiplied by the estimate, as a result whereof an initial value for a memory address of the requested data object is formed. The actual control variable of the data object stored under the initial value is determined, the search for the requested data object being terminated in the case of correspondence between the actual control variable and the desired control variable, and otherwise the search is continued.
Abstract: In a method and system for transfer printing of an electrostatic recharge toner image from an intermediate carrier onto a recording medium and for fixing of the transfer-printed toner image onto the recording medium, the recording medium lying on an electrostatically-chargeable conveyor belt and adhered thereto by electrostatic forces is transported through a transfer printing region and subsequently along a guided transport section. The recording medium is conveyed to a fixing device. The guided transport section is arranged in a transport unit and the fixing device is arranged in a fixing unit which are independent of one another. The fixing unit has at least one wall designed to hinder a heat transfer from the fixing unit to the transport unit.
Abstract: In a method or device for transport of liquid developer to an image carrier element for electrophoretic digital printing, a developer unit is arranged adjacent to the image carrier element, the developer unit directing a liquid developer having toner particles to the image carrier element, the toner particles crossing over to the image carrier element corresponding to previously-generated potential images. A raster unit is arranged adjacent to the developer unit. The raster unit transports the liquid developer to the developer unit by use of a raster. An electrical voltage is applied between the raster unit and the developer unit in order to exert a targeted field effect on the toner particles in a direction towards the developer unit. A chamber scraper having a dosing scraper is arranged adjacent to the raster unit and having liquid developer having the toner particles which are already charged.
